My Singing Monsters Update Gameplay and Reaction by Mairusu! In this new MSM UPDATE, there's a new off season Seasonal Sale with Clavavera and the NEW Rare Clavavera on Bone Island and Seasonal Shanty! Seeing as I haven't completed Bone Island yet, or even have Clavavera on any island, I thought I'd finally experience one of the weirdest, but possibly best Magical Islands in My Singing Monsters, and get the off season Clavavera and her rare variant too. The Bone Island full song is insane, and I can't wait to see what the other Magical Islands have to offer!

You’ve FINALLY done bone island! And just in time for the out of season promotion! A few things to mention: -In an earlier video, I mentioned that the max level for the monsters is level 20, and they can give you relics, food, starpower, keys, and even diamonds! -The fossil that the Withur plays on is the Lyrodocus Rex, which is stated in its bio! (The Withur itself is also mentioned to be a cousin to the Whisp in its bio as well!) In an MSM live video, the Denchus are more like halves of each other, rather than twins, or siblings, similarly to the Schmoochle. -You have encountered Phangler before in your Fire Oasis video (unless if you somehow skipped it…) -Don’t forget to teleport duplicate single element magicals to magical sanctum to get started there early, and also breed some of the seasonals on seasonal shanty to get some of the other aux. seasonals that are only there on the shanty early before their events start! (The last core seasonal, Yool, will have to be bred on cold island during its out of season promotion next month to complete the collection on the shanty, as you can’t get core seasonals through breeding there.)

Uuduk's name is a combination between "udu" and "duduk", both of which are instruments. According to its bio, it can have a number of vertebrae on its spine depending on how old it is (1 vertebrae = 1 year old) but doesn't show anyone as it doesn't reveal its age. It is, however, more than 12 years old, or it at least begins its life with 12 vertebrae which is likely the case. An Uuduk can uproot itself with its hands to move, although this is uncommon.

Clavavera's bio reveals that there is an afterlife that monsters undergo after passing away, called the Beat Hereafter. Through its song, nearby living monsters become able to communicate with other monsters there. What else is known about this afterlife seems to be kept a secret by Clavavera. It also reveals a spiritual ability that all monsters have to listen to a "Heartbeat of Forever". At release, Clavavera's legs did not move at all during its singing animation. This was later fixed at the Festival of Yay 2021. As stated by Big Blue Bubble, "Clavavera’s appearance is inspired by the figure of La Catrina, and named as a portmanteau of the instrument ‘claves’, a pair of wooden sticks which create a bright, piercing clack, and calavera, the candy skull decorations for which Día de los Muertos is so well known. Special attention was paid to respect cultural aspects like the inclusion of accurately-colored cempasúchil (the iconic flowers) in the character’s crown to keep it more aligned with traditional depictions. Its multicolored feathers have been shed like leaves in autumn, replaced with a lace-like veil and branches to create a radiating and crown-like effect." Clavavera was the second Auxiliary Seasonal to be put on a Island, first being Gobbleygourd, who was also the first ever Aux. Seasonal. Clavavera is also the first Auxiliary Seasonal that used to be exclusive to the Seasonal Shanty to go to its forever home.

During the waves of Amber Island, Denchuhs were the last non-pure magical monster to be required by any vessel on Amber Island. On MSM Live 19, it is stated that the two Denchuhs are not siblings, but rather eachother’s “other half.”

Can you please name a Rare Clavavera "Catrina"? It is a reference to a character very associated with Day of the Death/Día de los muertos which tends to represent Death itself (The holiday Clavavera represents). It is a very big inspiration for Rare Clavavera's design (look up La Catrina, you'll immediately see the resemblance) As someone that has been living in Mexico for almost 6 years now (I'm from Venezuela, moved for obvious reasons), I find the existence and references in both Clavaveras very cool. There's also a reference to "Calaveras Literarias"/"Literary Calaveras" in the Bio of Rare Clavavera, which are verses making fun of "The Death". Making these are a tradition, and I myself have written a couple due to school assignments. Cheers! Bone Island is certainly one of my favorites, and I even made a slightly scuffed cover of it 😅

Plinkajou's name is a portmanteau of "Plink", "Kinkajou" and possibly "Jouer", the french word for "Play". Despite the Monster having aspects of plants, Plinkajou does not have the Plant Element. The same can be said about Clavi Gnat, Hawlo and Tuskski. Despite having Kinkajou in its name the way Plinkajou plays its song references a natural instinct of cats which is playing with string. It is also worth noting that Plinkajou's yellow hair is similar to a lion's mane. Plinkajou can also have a slight physical resemblance to a cat. Plinkajou swipes at its bones even when it is muted. Plinkajou's sound is likely the same melody Flum Ox was going to have when Bone Island was a Fire Island, due to the similarities with the rhythm of its track and Flum Ox's Cloud Island track. Despite physically being able to fit onto 4 tiles, it takes up 9 tiles. According to Ultimate Creator Quinn, Hyehehe's closes living relative (thats been discovered) is Plinkajou.

aight, so basically the highest level you can get is level 20 and here are the values: single elements: 3,568,620 Natural Triples, Fire and Magical Singles and Doubles, Seasonals, and Mythicals: 10,705,860 Ethereal Singles, Shugafam, Wubbox and Rare Wubbox, Fire and Magical Quads,Epic Seasonals and Dreamythicals: 14,274,480 Werdos, Epic Wubbox and Fire Quints: 17,843,100 Double Element Ethereals: 28,548,960 when reaching level 20 a star aura appears around them and they give a hight chance of a bonus item! oh and can you name a punkleton of any rarity "mourning wood"? its a refereance to terraria food name wublin

Banjaw's name is a portmanteau of "Banjo" and "Jaw". The Banjaw's bodily structure looks similar to the Quad-elemental of Faerie Island, Pladdie. Banjaw is the first monster containing the Water Element or the Fire Element with a size of 1 x 1. Banjaw is the third Triple Element Monster to take up a 1 x 1 space. The first is Clamble and the second is Cantorell. In its description, the part of Banjaw that is plucked is referred to as a tendon, despite the fact that it connects a bone to another bone. The correct term for it would actually be a ligament, as tendons connect muscles to bones.

Thrumble's name is a portmanteau between Thrum and Rumble. Strangely, the Thrumble sees no design changes since its Dawn of Fire debut. It has no resolution changes as many people were expecting. However, its egg had a design change in which the fins went from orange (Dawn of Fire) to a pinkish color. (My Singing Monsters) This is likely because the Baby Thrumble had orange fins, and the Adult has the same pinkish color as the egg.

Peckidna's name is a portmanteau of the words "Peck", which the birds on its back do, and "Echidna", which is the animal the Monster is based on. The Peckidna resembles the Woolabee. This is even stated in its bio. Even one of its possible names is "Foolabee", which is a mixture of "fool" and "Woolabee". It did not evolve from Woolabee. However, they both share Cherubble as a common ancestor. Strangely, Peckidna eggs are not required for Woolabee's vessel. The Peckidna is one of the few monsters to both sing and play an instrument, though it is the only one to never sing and play an instrument at the same time. Even as Peckidna is mostly based on the echidna, it also takes some elements of the turtle, notably their shell. In turtles, their shell is the body equivalent of a rib cage as seen here and due to the bone element, this might also apply for Peckidna. For the Earth element, some tortoises like the gopher tortoise also use their shell to dig burrows and female sea turtles also use their shell to dig their nest in the sand of the beach to lay their eggs. However, it is unknown if the Peckidna uses its shell to dig. The purple bird is shown to look bored or angry in the animation, perhaps because it hasn’t played a note in some time.

Phangler's name is a portmanteau on the words Microphone and Anglerfish. It might also come from the word "dangle" which is what its microphones do. Phangler was revealed to be reintroduced in the Fire Oasis reveal. Since the release of Amber Island, the Phangler's animations are slightly messed up. One foot twitches on Oasis and the same foot changes positions instantly when it's not supposed to, it's especially noticeable on Fire Oasis and Psychic Island. Oddly, Phangler only likes Thrumble on Bone Island, despite it also being available on Amber Island. This is likely a mistake from the developers. However, this is not something exclusive to the Phangler, as monsters like Shugabush, Rare Mammott, Rare Potbelly, Epic Mammott and Epic Oaktopus have like items that, despite being available on the other islands they are present on, are only liked by them on Shugabush Island. Phangler has the ability to withdraw its legs, as seen in its Playground appearance, and in the "A Trench in the Works" trailer. If you listen closely to Phangler on Bone island you can hear Noggin and on Psychic island you can hear an old recording of Repatillo. Phangler is currently the only fire double to not have a costume.

Withur's name is a corruption of the word "wither". It also derives from the instrument it plays, the zither. It is said that the Withur shares a spiritual link with the Whisp, much like The Pomily and The Ghazkin. Withur is based on a concept design for the Werdos, known as the Lyriks. The skeleton that Withur uses as its instrument resembles an Ichthyosaur.

Clackula's name is a portmanteau of Dracula and either "clack" or "clatter". When opening the game for the first time after the Version 2.3.9 update, the two loading screens might collide and create a "Mammula". Clackula is the only monster so far to have a bowtie. A group of Clackulas is called an “Osstentation”. Clackula is the third Single Element to be a percussionist. The first being Noggin, and the second being Reebro. Monster-Hander Matt made a mistake as he put Clackula in the in-game announcement of Seasonal Shanty instead of Punkleton. Clackula is related to Clavavera, as stated in the latter's bio. According to a Twitter post, a Clackula’s hands take turns eating, each needing to consume an exactly equal amount of nutrients with no margin of error to stay properly nourished. Clackula is the only Single element magical to take up a different tile space than others.

The level cap for Monsters has increased from Level 15 to Level 20. Monsters will now have a chance of producing premium currency which increases with each level, so get feeding! Lastly, Level 20 Monsters will feature a glimmering glow that you can show off to your friends.

The Denchuhs' name is a corruption of the word "dentures". Most of Denchuhs default names are teeth related puns, the exception to this being Jemy & Nigh, with the name being a play on Gemini. The Denchuhs bear a small resemblance to loricifers. The Denchuhs seem to be inspired on one of the concept art for Toe Jammer1, this could also explain why they have the Water Element. They could also have been inspired by another piece of toe jammer concept art, depicting them as two smaller Toe jammers fused together. This would explain Denchuh's twin like appearance. As confirmed by Monster-Handler Matt, the Denchuhs are very scared of lightning due to a bad case of astraphobia. Considering on how teeth and bones look similar to each other, teeth are actually not bones, so that makes the Denchuhs one of the three Bone monsters to not be based off of bones, the others are Peckidna and Hawlo.

Its name comes from claves, its instrument, and calavera de caramelo, the Spanish name for candy skull. This was confirmed by Big Blue Bubble themselves in this blog post. Clavavera's original design received some backlash due to the colors being considered offensive to Mexican culture, which BBB consulted with the Latino community. It was redesigned on October 26th, 2022 upon the release of the first Beat Hereafter event to more accurately represent Día de los Muertos. Its egg and portrait were updated as well to match the redesign. Clavavera is the eighth Seasonal Monster ever to be released. Clavavera was the second Seasonal Shanty exclusive monster at launch, with the first being Jam Boree. In the bio for Clavavera, it is confirmed that it is related to Clackula. This makes Clavavera the third Seasonal whose bio confirms it to be relatives with another monster, after Blabbit and Hoola. Clavavera is the third monster which design was changed after release. The first being Hawlo and second being Jam Boree. Clavavera is the first Seasonal to arrive within another Seasonal event. Clavavera is the first non-vocal Seasonal. However, Yool is the first Seasonal to play an instrument. Jam Boree also counts as an instrument because its voice is actually a synth. Clavavera is the only 1x1 Seasonal Monster. Clavavera was first teased on the Spooktacle 2021 loading screen (above & below the "er" in "Monsters").

Aux seasonals could be bred by natural seasonals [including thanksgiving] also name a phangler "Phangler games" [if not fit then just name it games so its real name is phangler and nickname games]
