Charlie I can honestly tell you hand on heart that since my son passed when he was 2 years old I have some special little moments that I can not explain. All I can say is they are very rare and tiny little intimate moments and you can easily jump and miss it or relax and enjoy that couple of seconds. It’s only been a handful of times in 28 & a half years, I treasure them so much. I just want to add that it’s never anything like some people make out though.

In my understanding it's not people who don't believe who should but people who do. And especially those who are fearful of ghosts. People that get random goose bumps out of nowhere. If you put someone who is actually scared of ghosts and the paranormal and did the blindfold test alone in a room, i'm confident you'd get responses. If ghosts are made of energy, they require sustenance in the form of more energy. You give off energy when in fear. Energy that they can use. (People say, the more scared you are, you start to see things).
@MrdevdevАй бұрын
@@FukaiKokorothey most definitely do enjoy it. The time and effort and just watching a few episodes of ghost files shows they enjoy it. Ryan is a bit less afraid now, but if anything it looks like they are having more fun compared to the unsolved days. And who cares about what they tried to pull. They went back on all of it and apologized. They are a company and a company’s main goal is to make money, and they don’t have buzzfeeds dollars anymore to fund these things. They are doing it all on their own.

Depending on what box they were using, it’s very possible that it has a pre-programmed vocabulary of words in it. Lots of spirit boxes have a list of words programmed into them, and they are often words that are general but adjacent to haunting situations. Things like “leave,” “yes” and “no,” and numbers are included in the boxes vocabulary. Other boxes actually use FM radio waves, which are much cooler when they work because the words are pulled from live radio signals and not a pre-programmed list.
@TamerChrisАй бұрын
The idea of how spirit box work is still absurd regardless. How would the ghost pull an answer at that exact moment from all the radio chatter? Like if they ask for the ghost's name and it's something long like "Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff". Besides, the Estes method isn't exactly foolproof. The person with the headphone still can hear the questions asked. No noise cancelling headphone can fully block out voices from the outside, especially when they are right next to the person asking the questions.
@ggstatertotsАй бұрын
Usually for the estes method, the radio should be super loud too so that you can audibly hear the static even from outside the headphones. There are some channels that also record the static as well so the audience can hear for themselves and come to their own conclusions of what is being said.@TamerChris

It’s an old plantation that was owned by this sadistic lady who liked to do stuff like cut off the feet of slaves who tried to escape and torture others. They had a wall of pictures of supposed evidence of ghosts, like a black shadow near the big chandelier. 12 year old me was freaked out and excited but I never saw anything. Never even saw anything in my pictures from my little disposable camera either. So I was more than disappointed, I was crushed.

I had a professor for a Death and Dying class (under Gerontology) who said they firmly believed in the paranormal but that we cannot possibly understand it scientifically because we have no way of using extra-sensory perceptions since everything we have is based on our perceptions. The example they gave to demonstrate was "Imagine, right now, a new color that does not exist right now. Make a new one, you can name it whatever you want. You can't do that since your entire life, the world around you has specific limitations based on what you can perceive. I believe that the paranormal exists in the same layer as those impossible colors, untouchable until we pass over to whatever awaits us next." That always stuck with me.
@zachalou3073Ай бұрын
It’s an interesting thought but all He actually said was that he believes it with no actual evidence
@nephyryx5618Ай бұрын
But doesn’t this apply to other things, like “the fourth dimension”? We quite literally cannot perceive it. We’re just aware of a second and, ours, third dimension, and despite the inability to perceive the possible fourth, people have theorized exactly how it should work to obscene degrees. But we can’t see this, just like how we can’t see a new colour, or ghosts. As far as I’m aware, most people do believe in the fourth dimension existing (I’ve never heard anyone actually claim not to). So ghosts could just be like that. Tbh I don’t believe in ghosts either lol-but if they did exist, it’d be a concept as impossible as imagining infinity, imagining a new colour, or seeing into the fourth dimension. At least, in OPs example.
@WhizzerdSupremeАй бұрын
Thing is, that means he's admitting there's no good reason to believe in it. The person who makes a claim has a burden of proof, and he's saying "I believe this thing, I am incapable of providing evidence but I believe it anyways."
@nephyryx5618Ай бұрын
@@WhizzerdSupreme That is the case in this scenario, however, there are a lot of “unexplainable occurrences” that people would rather attribute to something like ghosts. The issue is, something so abstract like ghosts can’t really be proven real without a shadow of a doubt, but people can still pull “proof” from different sources like personal strange encounters or second-hand encounters (online or otherwise). You could, in a sense, compare ghosts to things like Gods in religions; They’re both not necessarily real, but certain personal experiences lead you to believe in their existence. I mean, who are we to say people are wrong to believe in them? Who are they to say we’re wrong for not believing in them? okay, this is getting long, but essentially, it’s all subjective lol
@WhizzerdSupremeАй бұрын
@nephyryx5618 I agree that everyone has a right to their beliefs. However, good evidence is objective; it either exists or it doesn't. More importantly, it can be independently verified by other people, since witness testimony has been proven to be extremely unreliable. Everyone believes in something because they have been convinced that it is true, but the problem is in "what are your standards of evidence?" Most people who believe in the supernatural (or religions, as you said), can't explain something and go "I don't know, therefore [blank]" Most people can articulate "why" they believe in something, but the trick is in questioning whether you can have a better answer to it.

I've had one paranormal experience. In an Airbnb in Birmingham AL. House is 100 years old as my guess. The owner leaves when someone rents it, so they leave a lot of their stuff behind. I am sleeping on an air mattress in the kids play room. 2-3 AM I hear 2 neighborhood cats fight by the window just outside. Scramble, knock a potted plant over and run off hissing and yelling. 30 seconds later, a kids toy power up in a container in the room, it says, "I'm a cat! Meow meow!" 5 seconds later it powers off and says "Goodbye!" Scared me out of my mind. In the morning I dug through the pile and found it, it was one of those toys that has all these farm animals that you touch buttons for to get it to play noises. I turned it on, played the cat noise. And the extra creepy part is it took a few minutes to power itself off. Not 5 seconds. Terrifying. I retold this story to my friends in the morning over breakfast and a buddy staying upstairs said a kid was playing Jacks on the floor all night. Scariest thing that's ever happened to me.
@Mythikal13Ай бұрын
Realistically, why is that scary? If it was a spirit of sorts, it didn't do anything malicious. If it was a ghost it was just vibin'
@WildRabieaАй бұрын
It's scary because if something unexplainable happens it creeps you out. I had a weird experience in the apartment where I was living with my mom. My room had the round doorknob you had to turn to open with a small lock on it for more privacy. One morning I woke up with our cat in my room, door was closed and my mom was at work. I was watching something and door was on the right side of me, I heard something and as I glanced at the door - my cat was all puffed up looking terrified at the door which was slowly opening. I grabbed the handle, shut it closed and locked it. At first I thought someone had broken in, I called my mom and we were thinking of calling the police, but I couldn't hear any sounds instigating that someone was there. I waited for like an hour until I had the courage to peak outside my room. Well, the apartment was empty, so I have no idea how that happened. And it wasn't the only time, from that point on I always checked when I closed the door and to my horror had the door be open at random times. It really messed with my head.

I'm super skeptical but i had one bizarre experience that i genuinely can not explain and it happened when i was around 4 years old as soon as my parents decided to rent a different apartment so that we could live closer to the school i was supposed to start attending in a few years. I'm the eldest child and both my parents were still in the beginning stages of their careers, it was the first nice place we got to live in which makes the following objectively weirder as the interior of the flat looked cheerful and bright. As soon as we moved in, literally on the first night, I started having nightmares, or rather a nightmare - just one exactly the same terrible dream every night which would cause me to wake up, go to my mom just to recall that dream and ask her to sleep w me. Now, nightmares are nothing new or special but i never had any before and i used to sleep through the night without even tossing and turning like kids often do, I'd just go to sleep and wake up exactly/nearly the same, the other thing is my mom was very careful to not let me watch anything not kid-friendly(literally only seen overwhelmingly positive cartoons at that point) so I definitely hadn't seen what dismembered bodies look like yet that's what that one recurring nightmare was all about. Then there was one corner-far right- of the living room i would for no obvious reason be scared of and it just wouldn't stop until we moved out after i turned 7. So far, it's pretty low on the scale of "weird", but that's where the "best" part comes in. A few years later my dad learned that although it was a nice building, the gov decided to save some money and for that reason most of the crew working on it(the interior and exterior) were violent criminals, and there were quite a few documented major fights between them throughout the construction process. Ofcs they worked under supervision but still, usually if the government decides to "hire" convicts they choose someone who's been accused of less serious stuff, but it's an old building so idk if that regulation was in place. We moved out shortly but for a different reason. When i was 6,5 my younger bro was born and some time later we learned he had allergies so my parents had to change flooring in the living room as it had carpets nailed onto the kind of hardwood floor that was only hard in name, after taking off the carpet and "hardwood" dad and mom found what looked an awful lot like old bloodstains in that exact corner of the living room i would complain about. As soon as we moved out i never had that nightmare again, never had any more problems sleeping through the night and never encountered another "foul vibes" apartment. Mom had a separate diary specifically to write down anything new/interesting/notable I did or said so when i felt like maybe that memory grew into something bigger overtime i asked her to compare my memories w her notes and it was identical. Once out of that place, I've been much more scared of elevator noises than of anything supernatural.

wether people believe in paranormal or not , energy never dies , that is science . children’s intuition is much higher than adults . you sensed the negative energy of the nasty thing that happened in that corner which gave you nightmares .
@chokobirdwatsmynameАй бұрын
@@siya.kotiouuyou and other superstitious unthinking people take claims of science and force it into your unsubstantiated nonsense believes to confirm your bias with 0 care of whether something is actually true or not. If you actually read anything of scientific learning of what energy actually is and what scientists mean when they use that word you can free yourself from a narrow mindset of believing anything and everything and looking for things to confirm those things

A new show concept for Charlie: “GhostBusters,” (spin-off of myth busters) and Charlie and The Boys go into areas that have been paranormally investigated before and found to be haunted and they either prove or expose the areas of being haunted or fake haunted 😂

I never used to believe in ghosts until I was at my grandparents old place... lights would turn on and off on their own and I could LITERALLY see the light switches flick on and off on their own. I've heard knocks on walls, and footsteps on stairs. I've seen doors open and close and drawers as well. I've seen silverware move on their own and the couch pillows hover in the air. I remember asking the spirit to knock once for "yes" and twice for "no', and it always would. I found out that it was an old man in his 50s if I remember right... I could also hear it breathing at times and could feel its presence. I'd get random cold chills often times.
