As a fan of Chateau Diaries, I too would like to visit La Lande one day. However, the thought of having to interact with everyone is just overwhelming for me. Your stay there is perfect for shy people like me. I would much rather prefer to enjoy, appreciate and explore the place without too many people around. 😊

I'm a bit of an introvert, so I would've enjoyed the quiet and just taken in the nature and "specialness" (not sure if it's a word 🤭) of being in such a very old and beautiful chateau/place! I hope you're able to visit again and that it more than meets your expectations. ❤

I was VERY impressed by your positive attitude during all of your traveling issues once you arrived in France - I don't think I would have handled it that well. ( Actually I know I wouldn't have, lol but not). Your camera work is beautiful! Generally, when I tune into Chateau, there's a lot going on; people & projects, etc., so there's not a lot of slow & detailed touring - the Chateau itself truly is beautiful & the grounds are extremely well kept! Thank you for the walk in the forest too I really enjoyed that- I've often wondered what it looked like if I were there to go on a long walk. As much as I enjoy all of the La Landers, how special it would be to have the Chateau almost all to yourself; so peaceful & relaxing....

Really lovely to see Le Lande from a visitor's point of view - slowly taking in the views of the rooms and the grounds. Thank you for doing this - it is lovely to see the place just in the quiet of the ordinary day. The house feels so much grander, older, and more like a sturdy, beautiful, reliable, old grandparent. So peaceful.

Its probably good that more staff weren't there at the moment- it seems like you went with nothing to do- if you were expecting to jump in on the behind the scenes staff comraderie we see on Chateaus Diaries, or that they would entertain you, you would have likely been even more disappointed. Thats not really done at any hotel or B and B. You really did arrive at the end of season- Had there been more guests, or had you treated it as a base for more exploration of the area, you may have found the trip more worthwhile :-) Were you perhaps counting on more human interaction for content? I dont feel like people would liked feeling like you were there 'content' rather than for just a quiet getaway. Even with Stephanie there, your visit would likely have looked the same apart from a few hours at dinner , so sorry to see you in an empty house though- its not a home without all the people!

cam pham 1 second ago Wow, sounds tedious. I’m still baffled as to why the taxi would not help you? Were you able to file a complaint with his company? Rental car companies will usually arrange a pick up ahead of time - if you plan it. I usually call or email - ahead to check. When traveling anywhere I plan my days out - ahead of time. Look up town events ( art festivals, music festivals, galleries, museums and restaurants) or places to try during my visit. Stephanie has showed a lot of these on her channel. These are a few things I do. I hope it helps. I hope to go at some point but have no expectations of meeting Stephanie. If she is there, great. If not, fine. She appears to be busy and has residences elsewhere. I’m glad you were able to focus on the positive things in the end. Happiness is a matter of perspective.

So many questions about Lalande and the "cast". I did feel that, as a guest of the Chateau, especially because you were on your own, more could have been done to draw you into the conversation. I suppose, most of the time, all eyes are on Stephanie, so others simply have to respond to her frenetic energy. When you pay what I assume will be a small fortune to stay at a Chateau, it's the overall experience that matters - not just the wallpaper and food. It's the type of place I wouldn't mind paying a few pounds to wander around for a few hours, but then I think I'd want to leave (probably because it would be far too cold), as these old houses invariably are.

Thank you for sharing your LaLande experience. I had a similar one in Montezuma Costa Rica. My suggestion is too slow down much more when scanning…panning with the camera as we get very dizzy watching. Just a suggestion for improving your skills. Also, proper etiquette, you never pick up your bowls or dishes while eating. Only pick up utensils and drinking vessels. Marie is a great chef. I’d love to meet Natie. She is a sweetheart

How did 45 clips get deleted? Was this accidently by yourself or do you suspect it was done by someone else? I recall an inventary being done when Marie Wiik was leaving. Natty was present in her room when she was packing was this the case with you and other visitors? Sorry you had awful travel experience.. the chateau literally is in the middle of nowhere. Maybe this should be made known in the vlogs so visitors are aware. Hope you get your clips back as I think there is a way to retrieve them x

It’s a magical place and when you first drove up call me crazy, but it reminded me for a second of the Downton Abby castle, how it just appears off a country road 🫶. I need to follow thier channel because I never heard of this chateau before. Dinner looked amazing 🤩

So who actually greeted you when you arrived at the chateau? Did they give you any welcome party? I think Stephanie should personally invite you next time and pay for your trip herself. It’s not fair that they didn’t inform you that she would be out of the country during your visit. It’s just common courtesy and good business ethics.

Looks boring as hell I would have had some friends visit me while I stayed there and made my own party and had a hotel booked somewhere close bye in case the kicked me out for getting crazy just kidding but yah looked boring
