I fix an old motor bike and ride to the Arctic Circle 'The Warhorse' Honda XRV750 Africa Twin

Three countries, 6000km, 12 epic days and one legendary motorcycle! I travel to Norway, buy an old Honda Africa Twin and prep it for the ultimate adventure ride to the Arctic Circle. It is one of the toughest but most rewarding motorcycle adventures I have ever done and so fulfilling to do it on my very own adventure bike!
Travelling solo, I'm carrying some compact camping gear, a few spares and tools, my camera equipment and a bit of food. The rest, as usual, I just make up as I go. Riding off-road tracks through the vast forests of Sweden to Norway's remote Nordic Tundra, this ride is truly a life-enhancing experience.
I see wild Moose, Reindeer, Mink and Grouse on this journey, so come with me to the top of the world on my 1992 Honda XRV750 Africa Twin, which I have aptly named The Warhorse!

Blown away by all the comments and show of support for my films, so thank you everyone. This was a tough one as you can probably tell but I'm just grateful to be able to bring these productions to life and inspire people to ride. The comments are coming in thick and fast, I do try and read them all so please know your connection with me is felt. To answer the number one question that seems to baffle people ... Yes, I travelled alone on this project so 100% I did all the filming myself. I carry a small DSLR, drone and laptop/hard drives in my backpack. The drone shots are the most difficult and time consuming as it sometimes takes multiple attempts to keep the tracking locked on me, made all the more tricky adjusting the controller on the fly which is attached to my handlebars during the scenes. If you watch to the end of the video, there is the option to become a member and watch 'Preparing The Warhorse' where I show my whole kit and set up for this production. Thanks again for the support ... Adam

It is fascinating how when you say to people you want to ride a bike all they keep saying to you are negatives but rarely who says if it will bring you happiness do it, i am tiered of explaining to people that it is not an death sentence. This is what I will do one day no matter what people say to me. Rarely who thinks about riding like this, rarely who will imagien all the scenaries, rarely who will think about life on two wheels like this. This inspired me to go and get that licences as soon as I can what will be at the end of next year. Stay safe on road all of you riders!

I remember the engine sound of xrv750. I lost it 19 years ago trying to pass a landmachine that suddenly turned to Cross the street. I survived. Two years later a cat slowly crossed the street and seconds later an „elk“ suddenly came out to Cross the street, too. I was asking myself what they „wanted to say to me“. It was the time my mother had died. Adventure is being with nature. And I like that. But there is also something „more“. Sometimes some Kind of mystics. We should never forget that our life is limited and that life and the Beauty of the nature is the greatest gift.

Thank you so much for making this video! Amazing. I noticed three different times during the video you mentioned how finite our time is in this life. You are very aware of your humanity and how quickly it ticks away. I really appreciate you taking us with you on this journey. What I got out of it: Don't just wish for things to happen, take action. Make it happen. And: A little discomfort builds the greatest memories.

This is gold. In my (perhaps slightly biased) opinion, this is probably in the top three of the videos you have made. Well done! I also enjoyed the juxtaposition scene with the cruise ship.

I just discovered your channel and this was the video that KZfaq recommended; beautifully shot and an expertly told story. I look forward to where The Warhorse takes you next.

Adam, just outstanding. The music, editing, story, all of it. There is something special about solo motorcycle travel. I can relate a lot as I bought an 07 1200GSA in 2019 and after a few weeks of maintenance and riding took it on a 2000 mile journey. Many of these old bikes have something special.

While exploring the western cape of south africa a mate coined the phrase. Difference between 4 wheels and 2 is like watching a movie vs being in it. Absolutely love your attitude and extraordinary footage. Ride safe

I`ve had two of those Africa Twins, such a good bike, simple and solid as a hammer, yet such a fun machine that always gets the job done! Makes me kinda miss having one..

As a Canadian, I just assumed this would be about a trip to Tuk or Prudhoe Bay - so great to see footage from Scandinavia! I got my first bike at the age of 12 and it opened a new outdoor world to me too.

Fantastic trip and narration, could not have been better, was in Nordkapp about 6 weeks ago, Sweden to Finland to Norway through the same border as you, petrol and coffee in the same petrol station and slept at the same cabins camping, would have been incredible to meet you! for me was an 11000 km solo round trip from France, rough sleeping full TET experience ;) up through Sweden and down through Finland and the Baltic countries...what a trip!

What an amazing storytelling Adam....hats off to you! Dialogues worth life-changing, sceneries mindblowing, a soul who is independent & free, a true adventure in its purest form! And it's insane just to think that someone could pull off something this beautiful all alone on a motorbike! You truly inspire a lot of us to get on the road and enjoy the ride! Love from Bangladesh.

How could he have been "all alone" if someone was videoing him the whole time? Just saying lol ....maybe he could say "alone" as in him and the cameraman or camera crew idk ....but to say "all alone"really suggests literally just him and no other person along with him

To be honest I just fell in love with your Videos. It´s like an addiction. I had no goals in live, till now. Doing such a tour across some countries, purely enjoying nature has become my point one I want to do in live. There is so much inspiration and espacially so much spirit in this videos. It´s always a very very very good day, if there is a new video of yours. It´s really like love. My heart is pounding and I am enjoying the time so much. The way you got the Africa Twin and have done all that stuff you normally do with way more modern bike with this old lady is just amazing. Appreciate the work! Thank you for sharing this with us! Thank you for the spirit! Thank you for being yourself! Love it, would do the same if I can.

Absolutely fantastic video from start to finish! You should be immensely proud of what you have produced here!! Not many out there on YT that can create such inspiring, soulful, educational & real-world content such as this. I found it truly fascinating. Adventures such as these are a dream of mine. Been working towards it slowly, it’s taking more time than I want it to, but remaining hopeful that I can one day do similar, in the not-too-distanced future. Can see this journey of yours, has physically and emotionally been a great learning experience for you, and it shows on-screen. I hope to find similar enlightenment once I tackle my own adventures one day. I’m sure this is the 1st of many such adventures and I wish you many happy safe miles ahead. Am already very excited for your next such upload. Thanks again for sharing this with us. It is very motivating to say the least. And so glad you did it on an older bike, showing us that you don’t always need the latest best and most advanced equipment out there to be able to tackle something like this on. Am looking at an older Honda Transalp 700 myself as I’m a smaller lighter rider, and smaller bikes are much more user-friendly to me. Currently have a Honda CRF300L that I got only 2 weeks ago, learning to improve my skills on that before I take on the world lol. Only been riding 6 months or so - had a G310GS before, but I sold that for the CRF as it was better suited to my needs. Keep on riding, be safe and all the best on your future adventures! 🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏 Greetings from sunny South Africa, Cape Town.
