Lows like kick, 808 etc should generally be set to mono to make more solid sounding track. Ofc if you want your kick stereo then go for it

you mean the part where the kick is sending to the 808 channel and then the 808 channel is sending to 4 other channels while also sending to the master ? cause thats a mess and a half. or are you talking about the eq’s

@@rlyBeats no like most of the stuff you called out are stylistic choices. then you went crazy when he did a perfectly fine 808 pattern, and then you went crazy because he layered a kick? like what does that change

@@citgodumb 808 is already super punchy, the purpose of layering the two is to add punch to a less punchy 808, if theres too much punch the transients clash causing issues in the mix and with the beat. the 808 roll is also really basic & corny sounding, ya it can be a stylistic choice to have the roll, but genuinely it sounded like something someone new to producing would do for an 808 roll. for the kick layering it is possible you are referencing the kick being layered in the playlist thing, but that was removed because there was already a pattern for the kick being layered so the kick was layered multiple times. so on top of clashing it was layered unnecessarily a second time. the snare and clap layering is totally fine, it sounds bad in my opinion however
