Can we do something with the community center? Like after you complete it you never enter it again. Maybe Gus could give you meals that he is preparing there when you talk to him? You could dye things in the art room if you can't enter Emily's house or you aren't good enough friends with her. You could get a small amount of coal from the boiler room, like you can get iridium from the statue of perfection. The fish tank could show you what fish are available in the season.

I feel like you’re missing the potential of the bee house-with the artisan perk, fairy rose honey is closer to a thousand gold, and if you fill your Ginger Island farm with bee houses and fairy roses, it’s a solid form of passive income. Even only filling part of your Ginger Island farm is worth it, as it will never need maintenance once you set it up

I picked the forest farm which has an abundance of hardwood so I had a worm bin and crab pots setup on my farm right near my crops. That makes it easy to spend 10 minutes to get a bunch of junk fish to make sashimi. Most of the town has it as a liked gift so I can just hand out stacks of sashimi while passing through town. Here, Pierre, you like this week old snail sashimi, don't you?

i think the spring onion mastery should stay the same, but you get the cutscene super early in the game. maybe 2 hearts on both jazz and vincent.

I love the fact that, right now, every single item you mentioned "no player uses" is an item I have on my game in the double-digits. I have 10 crabpots in every water region, I have four worms bins on my farm (for the crabpots, you understand) and I have 15 geodecrushers in my crafting area lmao. I haven't finished the video yet but I'm pretty sure this is going to continue

I mean most people use the geode crusher as a glitch exploiter, so when you crack a prismatic shards, or iridium or whatever, you can just toss a geode in the crusher and get a second drop guaranteed of the same thing clint broke out of it

Panning is actually pretty useful as is when you think about getting the lucky ring by it but artifacts would be great and make it actually worth to carry around

Bee Houses are actually super OP on Ginger Island. Flowers dont ever decay so you can just plop down a few strategically placed Fairy Roses and fill the whole place with Bees and you get just so much honey

The hopper basically just needs to be automate but vanilla Honestly.

Adding a new Bee House building from Robin where Flowers can grow year-round and place beehives, I would actually use it. It just uses up a lot of space and this would help

My main idea for the bee houses would be to make mead from flower honey affect the end price, like wines are. Sadly, fairy rose honey still makes regular default mead in the keg. You lose money from that exchange.

I love the worm bin when I pair with Automate, a chest, a recycler and a massive army of crab pots 👀 Automate for the geode crusher too, paired with a couple other machines. Put the beehouses on Ginger Island, across the river from your farm.

I always run up there when I get the notification and most times you get nothing, a few times I’ve gotten a couple geodes, rocks, coal… how fun would it be if you actually got great stuff! especially I wish the Christmas train gave you awesome presents :) great vid!

I dont have problems with honey, but men the mead is soo underwhelming, i mean it the only artisan good that actualy make you lose money. Just make it work like juice or ever wine

And please just make the worm bin works like in real life. You can add some cheap crops or forages, and you get in return 3-2 wild bait in a process that would take 20 minutes

I feel like the copper pan should be able to be upgraded to iridium (it could start as just the pan) so it doesnt look weird in your inventory, and THE GOLDEN SCYTHE. it looks so weird when all of my tools are iridium and i have the infinity gavel which is purple as well, i think when you get to the end of the quarry mine you should just get an iridium scythe, or get the golden scythe that can from then on be upgraded to iridium

There is a mod you can get to have bees spawn. It's called eemie's bees and it adds so much life to the bee houses

I actually love bee houses, I use them on ginger island with like 5 fairy roses on the other side of the farm where you have very small amount of room to plant crops, makes me like 85k every 4 days, which isn't that bad.

the first time I got the copper pan, the very first thing i panned was a lucky ring. you can BET i carry that damn pan around 24/7

Bee house is already really powerful. They can produce hundreds of thousands of gold a week if you put them on ginger island

The worm bin is honestly not bad, I think I got one for a request or the CC. I would just take bait out everyday and have hundreds of bait stocked up. Makes crab pots and randomly fishing more efficient. Can recommend having at least one.

I never used the worm bin or whatever but 25 hardwood is STUPID as fuck. By fishing level 8, you'd have like 50 stacks of bait at that point

I used the worm generator Crafted two, got bait everyday and eventually got 999 through some years. Never had to buy any bait even tho I used to fish. It's sad it only produces normal bait tho

Worm bins are pretty useful for me I use alot of crab pots if your on the river farm it's pretty helpful

Actually the geode crasher is pretty good bevause of a bug that makes the first geode you crash in it after opening a geode at clint the same item you got from the geode opend at clint so if you get a prismatic shard from a geode and have ageode crasher you will get 2 prismatic shards

What I usually do with honey is I plant a few fairy roses on the patches of dirt around the pond in the ginger island farm area. You can usually get around 200+ beeboxes there which is around 200k every 4 days year round with the artisan buff.

Great vid! 12:14 I find it annoying to hear the shimmering lights sound from water bodies all over the game - I hear them a lot and don't see them, plus I don't use the pan because I don't have the space, time, or patience for it. Wish that sound happened only if you had the pan equipped.

Kinda wish you mentioned the shashimi trick with lower level fish items like the ones from crab pots; iirc, shashimi sells for 110, which significantly increases gains

You know what's great? Having the automate mod. I have 2 worm bins feeding into 4 crab pots feeding into a chest connected to a couple recycling machines and I love it XD

spring onion mastery is so obsolete that I didn't even know it existed until I was on year 9 of my perfection farm

The copper pan should be upgradeable, like the other tools. Also, each tool should have a special unique item "upgrade", like the Golden Scythe. The pick and the axe could have a single pickaxe unique item that lets you replace both in your inventory, for example. Each is the reward at the end of a special event, be that a dungeon, or some other method.

Didnt know Geode Crusher was considered that horrible. On my current very casual playthrough I have a bunch of them standing around where I just put all my Geodes from my day of mining in, I dont really wait for them to finish, I just put them in in the evening, take them out in the morning, and if I have more geodes left than I have crushers I just put them in in the morning as well before going on my daily grind. Saves me some time that Id spent waiting for Clint, its not like I need whatever the crushers spew out immediately.

Crab pots are good item while they are pricey remember that they give u items for almost free (and is free if u take perk in fishing) and makes worm bin useful. Also you forget that one of the best sources of coal is combo of crab pot + recycling bin. Spring onions are good source of gold for first spring as you get your first gold for seeds from them. Oh I will add that crab pots are great source of fishing xp as You don t have to waste stamina on them and can collect them at the start of each day when shops and homes are closed.

I would love to dye the Slime Hutch, maybe a nice pink or a slimy green. Upgrading the copper pan should unlock better lootable items, like copper gives ores and once you reach iridium you'll have a higher chance for rare artifacts found in the respective waters you panned in.

Automate mod makes a lot of those things actully useful. Like crab pots and worm bins together with trash processor make a full-afk farm making useful stuff.

I use worm bins and crab pots every playthrough.. I have 10 crab pots on the farm to produce 10 fish that I "cook" into sashimi (Linus friendship recipe) and 5 worm bins to produce more than enough bait to "feed" the crab pots.. Just be sure to get the crab pot related perks including the one that prevents catching trash items (Mariner?).. The reason for going for "always catch fish" perk instead of "crab pots never need bait" is 2-fold.. 1) Every crab pot filled is guaranteed fish, which means sashimi.. 2) While holding bait, your only interaction with crab pots is to fill them, which prevents loss of time and inconvenience of picking up crab pots accidentally.. Sashimi is a very easy to craft food recipe (literally ANY fish).. You only need a kitchen and about 2-4 hearts with Linus to get the recipe.. Since sashimi does not provide any buffs, it will never override any food buffs that are harder to craft.. While it is only marginally better than iridium quality Salmonberry and Blackberry, you can mass produce it all year round instead of waiting for the small window in each year to run around the entire map to find them.. Which, by the way, is another boon in itself since you don't need to hunt down numerous locations across the entire map (that may or may not even have a berry to harvest) to get the most each year..

I keep one geode crusher at Clint’s because there’s a glitch where if you crack open a geode you’ll get the exact same item if you put another geode in the crusher right after. Every once in a while I’ll crack a ton of omni geodes until I get a prismatic shard and then once I do I immediately use the geode crusher and without fail will get another prismatic shard

That's the reason I'm using automate. A lot of the items are nice to have if you can just set them up and forget about them until you check the chest for all the things they produced. Like when I needed another dwarf computer for the farm computer I just dumped some of my stockpile magma geodes and coal into a chest attached to one and came back a few days later to one ready in the chest. Worm bins used to be alright with this before the wild bait buff, giving them at least a low chance of producing wild bait would be huge.

The geode crusher has one significant use. It gives you the last thing that Clint cracked for you. So you Clint cracks open a prismatic shard, and you then put the same type of geode into the crusher, you will get another prismatic shard.

I love the worm bin. I have 2 next to my stable and put 4-10 bait in my fishing pole every morning before I hop on my steed and ride off. I have like 600 bait in my fishing pole now

First off, these are fantastic and really well thought out ideas, it was really interesting hearing your thoughts on this! On the note of worm bins and crab pots, I actually made and used a ton of them for the first time recently. I was playing a super heavily modded Stardew and I had the Automate mod which lets you insert and extract items from machines into chests, and using a bunch of worm bins and crab pots you can sustain infinite bait for the crab pots and just generate free stuff that automatically gets collected into a chest without you doing anything. I found it was great for getting the Fish part of higher level fertilizer crafts. But yeah, they could use some tweaking, the cost of both is nuts, and the rewards are lacking in the extreme. I loved your idea for unique items that add bobber buff effects that could stack with food, that’s a fantastic idea. I definitely agree that panning needs to be changed massively. It’s so disappointing to unlock it for a community bundle - the others are mostly big neat unlocks like the desert which is the gateway to lategame stuff or mine carts which are insanely useful or even the quarry which is less useful but still nice. Panning is just useless and annoying. I think making the pan upgradeable like your normal tools would be a good start. Maybe make higher levels catch more stuff? But definitely massively increase the number and frequency of panning spots, and giving panning access to fishing treasure chest loot is a good idea too.

I think (not 100% sure yet) I found I use for the worm bin, granted you need a mod. More specifically the automate mod which will automate some processes using chests and other things like that. My thought is to place the crab pots chaining them up, then place a worm bin touching/closest tile to the pots than place a chest the same way. I assume it would work but I'd have to test it first

It's news to me that the Worm Bin is a useless item. I always assumed the fact that it gives literal infinite baits, which I usually used next to Crab Pots so I won't have to take up an inventory slot to fill them up, was a bargain deal since you can farm fiber in the bug room in the severs anyways and by the time I usually unlock the Worm Bin crafting recipe I have hundreds of unused gold ores.

Crab Pots and Worm Bins becomes 100x more worthwhile when using the automate mod. Hook them up to a chest and a recycling machine and get passive income.

Geode Crushers are useful in that they can dupe whatever came out of the last geode that Clint broke open. It's helpful for getting multiple Prismatic Shards and iridium ore in the early and mid game when those things are hard to come by. Combine that with the knowledge you get from the Stardew Predictor website and you can pick and choose any mineral or artifact in the game and have multiples of it.

The crab pots and worm bin being cheaper would be nice but they are not useless if you have the automation mod. This mod lets you place a chest down adjacent to a machine and will auto fill and empty the machine much like how most people want hoppers to work. However it will also work with strings of adjacent machine ie you put 5 crab pots in the water all touching each other than put a chest on the ground right next to one of the pots. Anything in the pots transfers to the chest automatically and any bait in the chest transfers to the pots. Next adjacent to the chest you place a recycler and a wormbin. Now the worm bin make 5 bait they transfer to the chest then to the pots. What the pots catch transfers to the chest with any trash items transferring from there to the recycler. Final the recycler products transfer to the chest. This all happens automatically so you just come back once a week or even once a season and clean out all you goodies from the chest

Trapper: bait no longer required Mariner: same Luremaster: catches are always iridium quality

I actually have a shed full of geode crushers on my farm. It's pretty useful if you bomb-mine on the skull cavern since you get lots of omni-geodes

Haven't played in awhile so this might have been updated but, the shimmering lights for the copper pan can be common on some day. The problem is they are in predetermined areas and disappear quickly so if you're not in the right area when one spawns it will be missed or if you are on the correct screen odds are you will not find it in time to use the pan.Even if you are lucky enough to actually see one it could spawn in an inaccessible area. A good upgrade for it would be to have the shimmering spots act more like artifact spots. I like to let them pile up and just do a loop around town every three days or so to pick them all up.

The copper pan should be upgradeable (iron, gold, iridium) with each upgrade increasing the likelihood of panning a item from the fishing chest loot table. Also fishing skill level should also factor into this calculation so there is more of a reason to finish getting to level 10 fishing.

Bruh, just don't harvest the fairy roses buffing your honey, it's not that hard. You need very few of them to buff whole stacks of honey and they sell for almost 1k each with artisan. Bee houses are totally fine and don't need fixing, other than maybe dropping the coal cost to half of what it is.

The stone chest is the most useful recipe for me. It’s so easy to get stone from the mines and wood is so difficult and most of it I use for kegs or preserves jars. I immediately rush over to the special order board every time it opens just so I can get it and then I never craft a wooden chest ever again.

I played this game long enough to know that if you make 12 bee houses and a brick of flowers around an upgrade sprinkler you can make an outrageous amount of money; also you use the fish from crab pots to upgrade your fertilizer. Recycle your junk

I actually use crab pots solely to collect trash. With the recycling machines it's a nice way to passively collect wood, coal, and refined quartz. I used to save the fish for fertilizer and recipes, but now I just throw them away because it's not worth the inventory space.

what u mean, worm bin is super good when u have like 100s crab pots, just collect one row every day, and put the excess in the fishing rod, that's just ez money ez life.

I won't except this crab trap slander! Although the crafting price is a bit ridiculous, you can buy it from willy for 1500g and all the crustaceans and shells caught count as fish, so you can make sashimi out of it. It is an amazing and low effort source of early to mid game food. Edit: Geode crusher slander?! Geode crushers will give you the same item that Clint last broke out of a geode, so if you find a desired item in a geode at Clints, the crusher can give you a duplicate!

The hidden value of crab pots is, if you have the Automate mod, you can hook them up to recyclers and bam, free coal, cloth and iron bars for life!

Yeah, Crab pots can actually be quite useful due to the existence of Recycling Machines as a fairly consistent source of Refined Quartz, since two of the 5 trash items (Broken CDs and Broken Glasses) recycle into it, and two other trash items (Trash and Driftwood) can potentially give you coal, and Soggy Newspaper has a 10% to give you cloth. Though I 100% agree that panning is near pointless, especially since it's possible to get Lucky Rings in Skill Cavern (in my current playthrough I'd gotten two Lucky Rings before I was able to use the Copper Pan once) and the panning spots are so rare and don't even last that long.

I love my worm bins and crab pots, they work really well together and with recycling machines

You're too harsh on crab pots. I use them a lot. They make gaining Fishing XP much easier. Many people hate fishing in Stardew, you know?

Personally I'd combine crab pots with the pan, since the latter has to occupy one slot in your inventory at all times and most of the time where you can see something shine in the water, you can't even reach it. Plus, it'd all but make sense with the mechanic of a crab pot
