Jqise was able to use the rod so well on minemen because they were playing on an AS server, on hypixel they can probably not rod anywhere near as well.

It is in certain situations, and it takes a lot more time to learn. (But once you’re on the skill level of jqsie, it is generally an advantage. only because he had mastered using it.)
