Today on the show, we have with us, Colonel Krishnan Srinivasan. Having army veterans on the show has always been a blessing for me, more than I could have ever imagined. The amount of perspectives they have given me has been one of the biggest gifts for me as a podcaster. Hearing stories of war from brave souls who have experienced them on the ground is a very different feeling.
I personally have experienced a complete mindset shift from what I used to think of the army before such gorgeous conversations. Our version of the Indian Army has always been influenced by what we see on screen in movies, watching the news, & hearing from people. But what actually happens on the ground is bounds apart and 10x more intense than whatever we imagine it to be like.
Col. Srinivasan is an extraordinary army veteran who has served in the Indian army for 28 long years. His undying passion for the country has led him to be one of the top commanding officers the Indian army has seen. He is a man to have experience not only being in the army but also tasking the corporate life. He brought his rich experience to the corporate world & provided his services to Vedanta PLC, Jindal Steels & also Reliance Industries.
In this episode, we speak about his experience at the Kargil War that happened between India and Pakistan in the year 1999 in detail. There are some parts of the podcasts where he has revealed some unheard stories of the war scene. Col. Krishnan Srinivasan was also involved in part in which the legendary movie "Shershaah" is based.
