It would be funny if you could put vehicles in time capsules, besides the fact its practically impossible, it would still be funny to pick up a time capsule and its just like "here take my cyclopes filled with modded furniture and lockers that have 10 copies of every material ever"

Imagine someone finds Markiplier and is greeted by "THIS IS MY WORTHY PISS"

When I made my time capsule, I put some helpful things that would be harder to get in the game that I had a lot of. I put in 2 ion cubes, 2 Crystalline Sulfur, and 2 Kyanite along with a nice message. It said something like this: "If you get this time capsule, good luck. It is a mysterious, beautiful world out there, despite the dangers that lurk around. I have left a couple of materials that I had lots of. I hope you have a great time exploring and discovering! Farewell, arole21" And added a nice picture of a sunset, cause why not? Then everytime I saw a newer time capsule video I hoped they'd find it. That's when I saw someone say on KZfaq or Reddit or something that new time capsules aren't accepted and rare materials like Kyanite aren't accepted either, though I don't really know if it's true. One time I found a time capsule with the kitten poster, some food, water, and batteries, and it had a wholesome message. It was very nice, especially since I really needed that stuff at the time, and the kitten poster brought a smile to my face :)

I've spent literally hundreds of hours over dozens of playthroughs and not a single time capsule. I'm assuming the fact I'm on console without the ps+ paid online service is the reason why?

Most time capsules are empty because people put in items that are forbidden (presumably too powerful an item for a new player to have) but it seems most base metals can be sent I've received nickel in them before but I heard advanced things like kyanite can't be.

I remember my first time capsule. I put in most of the vehicle modules I had in there, as well as my stasis rifle. I took a picture of my Prawn suit (which I named Penny after my favorite character from RWBY) as it stood atop the life pod. The message I wrote was. “Hello survivor. Things may seem tough, you may want to quit. Your odds of survival are abysmally low, but if you give up now that chance drops to zero. Attached is a picture of my darling Penny, sitting atop her favorite perch and staring at her new sibling (The Neptune Rocket). Escape is possible. Just hold on to your hope, and go with the flow. I hope the tools I provided help you escape to freedom as they once did for me.”

Out of all my time playing subnautica, my favorite time capsule that I did included a picture of all my vehicles (prawn, cyclops and seamoth) which I had named after the survivors of Degasi (Paul, Bart, and Marguerit). The message was some light ramblings about how I was going to make sure they're safe, and that we were getting off the planet. I told them i'd come back for them. I think I left food and water for them in the capsule. Insanity may have taken hold of me during this run

I found multiple time capsules. They gave me reactor generator fuel, and one gave me a cute poster that said stay calm with a cat in a astronaut hat.

In my first and current playthrough, I'm going to possibly give cured peepers or cured Reginald's and large water bottles, as it can be annoying to have to collect food and water at first, even when your a but further in, the large water bottles come slowly and food is still tedious to obtain, I'd also leave a message saying "Keep on keeping on" Nvm, I changed it to a drill and grapple for a prawn suit I used to kill some reapers, couldn’t do water and food because I was low on everything at the end 😅

There is a mod to not only be able to scan for them and also to track when they spawn. But there is another mod that allows hundreds to thousands of them to spawn.

i just beat the game for the first time a couple days ago and left a prawn suit drill arm, stasis rifle with an ion battery and thermoblade with the message "rip and tear" and photo of a dead ghost leviathan lol i've no idea if the game allows all that stuff to be put inside time capsules but hopefully someone got very happy

I usually go out looking for these around the edge of the dunes, near the mushroom forest. There are a lot of spawns there, I've played a lot of nitrox with a friend of mine which happens to bug out the spawn rates of these and I've found tons because of it, normally tho, not that many.

When did there get to be so many of these? A few years ago I could only find one or two out of a whole play through.

When i made my time capsule i filled it with the most important upgrade modules for the prawn suit. I hope someone finds it because it will save A LOT of time. It literally gives you a maxed prawn xD

I just started this game up again and I got a stasis rifle with ion battery and a thermoblade. I was ecstatic. Didn't realise they had messages! Definitely need to read it when I login next. This was farely early in the game and on hardcore so I'm pumped.

I get the same 3 capsules all the frickin time and it drives me nuts. I've never gotten my own capsule; I only rarely get an actual capsule that isn't part of the usual '3'. Anyone else have this problem?

my first time capsule, i left two cuddlefish eggs, my trusty thermoblade, the "hang in there!" poster, and a couple other things i found useful. i used a photo of my cuddlefish but i dont really remember what i wrote down.

In my time capsule I added 3 ion batteries and 3 ion power cells, the picture was the sea dragon pogging when I got into a fist fight with it and proceeded to give a few survival tips. I also mentioned the fact that the cyclops has a special fabricator on the left side of the engine so that they dont go monke trying to find how to make modules for 7 hours

In a current save I have I ended up getting 4 keep calm posters because of time capsules. You know where those are going when I beat the game

I found a capsule containing a squid the message went like this; To the one who found this time capsule, I have a request, this squid here is named Mamoo. He was with my in the more than the cuddlefish, we had fun together, She/he even had an egg. Eventually, I had to leave Mamoo in the wild. But she promised me to take care of her egg in this capsule, and the person who finds it should take care of it, in an aquarium. good luck and have fun (Mamoo’s baby is in my aquarium)

Time capsules are the reason why I require the everything in Bioreactor mod. The extra Seaglide would only give about 10 energy but it's something.

I found a sea glide in one on my last save with an Ion Battery really early into the save. I was so damn happy lol.

I finally found my first time capsule after what feels like forever (almost 2 years) now I can say I finally beat Subnautica.

I put one of each tablet in my time capsule then spent 40 min looking for them after when i needed them XD

I got one with a repair tool a laser cutter and repropulsion cannon

The one I sent was 3 Kyanite + 3 bottles of water (the best one that gives you 50 points) with a beautiful picture of the mama with something like: "I know it's pretty scary and you think you're alone but don't be afraid to go deeper. Find this beautiful creature! In this world full of fears she might be your only friend. :)" I don't know if somebody will ever get it tho.

Once I opened a time capsule and it had a hardened blade in it. This was after full release and people didn’t believe me. Unfortunately I think I deleted that save…

During my first playthrough I found a TC with still suit in it, the sender said that he also rcvd the same still suit by someone in a TC during his run, before finishing the playthrough I put the same still suit followed by a cuddle fish egg and a laser cutter as it come very clutch in early game with a long message. I hope who ever finds it passes it along

Hopefully inspired someone to go out and become a reaper slayer. also put an unhatched cuddlefish egg in the final slot because i figured someone would enjoy having it.
