imo the ending scene of pirates of the Caribbean 5 was really a excellent place to just end the entire franchise on. Will’s curse was finally broken and he reunited with Elizabeth and his son, so they can all finally be a proper family together. Will’s son Henry seemingly got with Barbosa’s daughter at the end and they’ll have a relationship. As for Jack, the black pearl is intact and he still Captain and sailed away into the sunset to enjoy his life on the Seas All the above happened in the final scene of pirates of the Caribbean 5. It’s for pirates of the Caribbean 6. It will definitely feel like a spinoff movie without Johnny Depp, since he made a quite clear earlier last year that he wasn’t coming back to do another. moving forward the best option I could see is the essentially retconning into existence a long lost son or daughter, for Jack sparrow to be the new main character. And that character goes on adventures with Will and Elizabeth kid along with Barbosa’s kid. A simple recast. I don’t think it’s gonna work here. Pirates of the Caribbean is to engrossed with the legacy of Johnny Depp’s portrayal. However, there was one throwaway line in POTC 4 when a character named Angelica tried to say that she was pregnant with Jack’s kid. So they could always easily say that she wasn’t lying and she actually did have a kid and it is jack sparrows. and if the actress for Angelica doesn’t wanna come back for pirate six or any other pirate movie, they could easily say she just died off screen and Jack is nowhere to be found so the kid is an orphan on their own.
