I found 8 rings, small 10k gold pendant and a lot of coins on the beach while metal detecting Corona Del Mar State Beach in beautiful Newport Beach, California. I treasure hunt with a Minelab Equinox 800 with the 15" coil.

Nice 8 rings, that is awesome, that little gold charm was the winner over all those rings ha ha. Great find Jim! Oh I can't believe you've been doing this 38 years, that's awesome! Oh you don't over react at all, If it were me finding the cycles, rings, bottle caps etc..., I'd be excited big time. I will be doing this on the beaches one day, it's a great hobby and very exciting lol. "Would you dig it" Silver Bracelet or end of a zipper" . Thanks for the fun day at the beach, stay safe.

Check that raised planter area with the nice green lawn, right next to the spot where you found the bling opal ring. I can’t believe you didn’t dig it! I could never pass by all those little pocket lawns near the picnic tables as you exited the beach. I drooled as you walked by those. I wish there were a way I could attach photos to these comments so I could show you the things I’ve found in parking lot planter lawns and parking dividers!

Great hunt Jim. Best I’ve done is five rings in one beach hunt. Found four of them really close to each other so I think it was the old leave your rings on the blanket trick. I’m going with a large tent stake.

I have been keeping a close eye on Trestles, but no good movement of sand. Cottons had a ton of new sand added from last south swell but just sand no good heavy targets. Thank you 🤙

I found 6 of those little religious pendants last month and they are usually marked on the loop which yours was missing the loop. Also found two 14k bracelets. Surprisingly all from tot-lots. You had a great hunt. I would say the what is it is a severely corroded penny.

Just started watching, finding it all fascinating fun. Have been on to my husband for quite a while now about getting a Metal Detector. Could you possibly recommend one that would be a suitable one for someone who has never done it before. I live over in England so detecting over here I would imagine will be slightly different to the beautiful place you live, I also don't want a cheap nasty one but at the same time don't want one too expensive either. I hope you can offer some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks 😊 🇬🇧

Minelab Vanquish series is great but I would go with the Equinox 600, they both work well and easy enough to learn and use right out of the box. Thank you 🤙

What type of detector do you use? I have a White's Spectrum XLT. One time it was White's top of the line detector. No longer made.
