I found a giant shell! And this makes my 3rd legitimate giant shell find, or shall I say horse conch, while making a video for my channel. They are not easy to find but sometimes the universe tosses me a shell.

I needed this video so much to escape to paradise because a week ago my beloved cat Pucci passed away and it’s been so hard to lose my best friend of the past 14 years. I absolutely know that buzz feeling. For me, it's when I find cool mushrooms in the woods. I love to photograph them. When I find a great specimen or something I've never seen before, it's just the BEST feeling! Same thing with some cool bugs. (Of course, I'm a nerdy science teacher. LOL). But Im so happy for your amazing find!

Hi Sharmon! You just get luckier every beach trip you make!! Wow! Nice giant horse conch. I love Blind Pass and I love Turner Beach on the other side of bridge. Some of my best shelling has been there. My daughter and I found tons of giant Bittersweets at Allison Haggerup and all the way down to the end of Captiva. Never saw one on any other beach. Thanks for my favorite Sunday "beach time." Have a great week!

@@SWFBeachLife - Well Lions Paw is still on my bucket list. I tried the east coast Juno area but never even saw a piece of a Lions Paw.. We found the bittersweets between Christmas and New Years. Maybe it was just luck of the draw!

First off, I must say, that Horse Conch is INCREDIBLE!!!! You are a Lucky Gal, Shar!! I had to pause the video for a giggle when you said "I'm more of a low hanging fruit..., walk see, pick, that's kind of how I roll. That was so cute, Shar. About those Barnacles!! A massive Spawning Event??.... Hahahahaha!! I'm picturing several of them gathering together on a log of coral, talking about challenging one another to a spawning contest. One, two, three,... GO SPAWN!! LOL!!!! I hope that these little jewels you say are not missed on the majority of your viewers!! I absolutely love your sense of humor!! My heart sank for you right after what you thought was the nucleus scallop you grabbed a handful for the ffc.... there's a Wentletrap by your thumb and I know you like those! I also know it's so hard trying to see everything else when you're focusing on one thing at a time- can't imagine trying to do it while recording also. Hi Sharmon! Looks like God gave you your Christmas present early. WOW! That huge horse conch is so stunning! I'm really happy for you! I thought the rest of your treasures were very pretty too. My favs were (of course) the adult fighting conchs, the many beautiful scallops (especially that yellow one), the prickly cockles and that really orange banded tulip as well as the northern purple quahog (sp). What a great gift from the ocean just to roll up to your feet. It cleaned up beautifully. What a nice beach walk today, While on vacation 2 years ago my hubby and I spent many days at blind pass, he was fishing and I was looking for shells. I had no idea I coudl have walked from blind pass to bowmans.

That first horse conch will probably forever be my favorite find, but finding each one gives me such fabulous memories! I'm also lucky I tend to record my adventures so I have a recording of the whole event too. This one was such a shocker!

A couple years ago my mom, her friend & I went to Bowmans & Blind Pass. We stayed over night on Sanibel. That night it was a Super moon & windy. When we went to the beaches, we couldnt believe our eyes. There were piles of shells almost a foot deep. Piles & piles of them. We made out like bandits lol

Sanibel was a hit or miss for us. It made us work for our shells, that's for sure. We did, however, found two huge horse conchs at Blind Pass. Of course, they didn't roll up the beach for us like it did for you. It's still saddened to see what's left of the Castaways and the surrounding areas. 😢

2:24 OMG you found another big Horse Conch shell, wow I’m so happy for you 🥲, I just love big seashells, it’s so good to hear the ocean inside the conch shell, besides I used to have one, like mine was a white Horse Conch shell, I found it at the shop in San Diego since 2014 when me and family went to San Diego very Thanksgiving we go to San Diego. Every year in Thanksgiving I used to buy more seashell, because you know that I like watching more shells videos so I can learned more names about seashells. Anyway besides yesterday I just like your brand new video that you post, like about finding big shells by the ocean water surface.
