@@LennyFlorentine Hiya... I'm late to the viewing party here, BUT great stuff as here. Is any of the gear available for sale? Like many, I saw one particular piece I'd really like to know about, seriously . Looks like Robert (above) should be congratulated for all this fascinating gear. Well done!

I love the HiFi hunting videos. When my ship was in Japan I bought a Kenwood KA 7100 amp and a KT 5300 tuner. It was an awesome system. When I was in San Diego, I could pick up a local station on that tuner with the power off. I didn't think that was possible. I own a Sansui 5050 that looks like that 8080 and it is wonderful.

15:59 The sansui you can see is looking a lot like my 1000A. I know they made 500A and 2000A which is the only one of the serie that was solid state. I had the 500A but I sold it and kept the 1000A. Very good sounding tubes receiver.

What an insane collection! I wish I could find any of this stuff locally. I haven't seen any good 70's or 80's HiFi equipment in years now. I used to be able to find stuff like this at garage sales, but that was like pre-2012. After that, it all kind of disappeared. Another problem is that if I do find anything pre-1990's, its all got bad capacitors or transistors and I can't work on this stuff.

16:34 That serie came out in 1973 until 1975 when they changed for the "blue face" serie from 1975 to 1978. I think. They kept the some numbers like this one and the 2220 but they put "B" suffixe after the number.

I own a Sansui model 2000 without the wood case in my collection and having seen the one in this video, I actually prefer it without it! Funny enough the guy I bought it from still had all the paperwork including a laminated blueprint for a box enclosure LOL It’s indeed a very warm sounding receiver! Very impressive collection and another fun video, cheers!!!

The Commodore 8032 is a slightly more advanced version of the Commodore PET computer. CBM = Commodore Business Machines was an entry level business computer. The PET was an advanced hobbyist grade computer. I'm not sure but I THINK the Sansui G-9700 you did a video on was mine when it was in for refurbishment. She is still going strong too! Loving the Sansui 9900Z as my kind of receiver. My brother reminded me, back when we were were pups I LOVED Sansui's analog \ digital transition receivers. I barely remember a160 Watt Per Channel 9900Z! We'd stand 30 minutes in rain looking at Sansui receivers in shop windows. Hitachi produced both products using in house engineers and production facilities back then that AKAI didn't have.
