I had an something similar myself. I went to buy a Thomas burberry shirt for 2.50 I think it was. BTW Thomas burberry is much less valuable only sells for like 15-20. Was told when paying that im not allowed to buy it because the lady at the til could sell it on vented for more. I couldn't believe it. I ended up giving the shop a negative review on Facebook afterwards as I was so frustrated and quite frankly annoyed. Ended up getting told off by a lot of people in the comments for negatively reviewing a charity shop🤷‍♂️

Personally I would have said something about the comics, if they have been bundled and priced up then no way would I allow a price change, especially for comics which are notoriously difficult to sell and the fact they put the sticker on the actual Comic ruins the top one. I had a conversation with 1 lady who worked in a charity shop as they continuously put stickers on comics and she would always put the price down agreeing with me. Sorry rambling on. Nice video Ian, looking forward to your vids next year mate.

I dunno... I regularly buy things from that shop and for the sake of a price change on something I'm buying for my own personally use, I'm not raising that and risking annoying people. Id have paid £1 a comic if they were priced up at that anyway

I totally get that but at the end of the day if they underpriced them it is their error and shouldn't punish the buyers by upping the price on the spot, especially a regular. I remember seeing a Chaddypete one when I think they came to my neck of the woods Norfolk. I think it was a Bolo coat that the manager didn't want putting out and one of the workers had priced it up and put it out. She verbally was annoyed when they came to pay but if I remember rightly let them have it at the price. But its just an opinion and we all have different ones on different things. Like if people are massively underpricing something I buy on a boot sale and I know I will make a mint on it, I will normally give them more for it. Most of the stuff you pick up is for your own collection so doesn't hugely matter anyway like you said. Yes normal going rate for Comics is around £1 each.@@MasterofPieces

Around couple of weeks to Christmas i ended a baulk amount of listings that i had listed for a while , then did sale similar to try and give them a boost. I have a basic shop with ebay best thing i did so many more tools and had sales through coupon codes that pays for itself . Really nice finds love the Terminator bike its nice its been rescued by MOP :)) HNY

That woman had no right to refuse to sell the comics for the sticker price. I’d have politely insisted she was getting £3 and not a penny more.

She was the manager of the shop... I buy a lot from that shop so I'm not insisting on anything... not worth souring a relationship for what's still a pretty solid deal imo

Price sticker is an invitation to treat only. Absolutely have the right to change the price if they felt it was mis-priced.

I think I’m right in that you have a full time job and do reselling on the side? There has been a lot of noise about HMRC and how if you earn over £1000 you have to register and complete the tax assessments. Would you be able to do a video on this and how have things set up?

Yep I do this as a side hustle. I've been self assessed for the last 10 years and can't remember how to set it up tbh. Yep you should be declaring the income
