When I started genshin I called certain characters "Genshin's (anime character they look like to me)". Xingqui looked like Ciel Phantomhive to me. Xiao had little but enough Sasuke vibes. Lisa is every witch lewd ever. Lumine and Aether together def had Rin and Len vibes, saw it too.

Venti is definitely based on Wendi from Honkai Impact. Heck, the letter 'W' is pronounced 'V' in German so Venti's name would still sound almost like Wendi. Also you're forgetting Dains, the most obvious doppelganger of Dmitri from Fire Emblem ever made. They had to cut a hole in his eyepatch to make it less obvious yet it still is XDDDDD

The only character similar to a genshin character is for a character that isn't even playable yet. Dainsleif and Dimitri (timeskip) from FE three house look extremely similar.

You would have found a similarity in Aether much easier if you had watched Magi: Labyrinth of Magic. Aether is pretty much a fusion between Alibaba the deuteragonist of the story and the protagonist's rival Judar. Alibaba has both the Hair and eye color, while Judar has the hairstyle and well, the overall design is strikingly similar.

When I first saw Zhongli my immediate reaction was "Oh god, is that the chinese version of Jumin Han from Mystic Messenger???". Even their personalities match so well, the only difference is that Jumin is filthy rich while Zhongli... Well... He's Zhongli

I feel that Bennet would be most like Asta from Black Clover in appearance and both having bad luck.

You did such a good job, but Xinyan’s section where you pointed out how sparce darkskinned characters in anime are made me really sad. Especially since pople in east asia can have tanner skin but the beauty standard is super pale skin so most characters are designed that way. I really hope genshin impact starts designing characters with tan skin who are east asian or caucasian and make characters who are african or middle-eastern. I think it would cambatt the unfair beauty standard and add more diversity to the game.

I have something for xiao, since it looked like you were having issues on his doppelganger, a hiiro no kakera character named Mahiro Atori (Design wise not personality) Who, when in a certain form looks so similar to xiao its ... scary knowing it was the first anime I watched and he was my first favorite character, then xiao came along and now I have two favorite characters which look the same. also hes part of a guardian group of 5 magical beings that just kinda maybe maybe not fight evil. Fishl always reminded me of Ophelia from fire emblem fates. Though they don't have matching eyepatches or clothes, they do have a very similar build and hair color/style. Also, peronality wise they share a lot of similarities!

I came for Ayaka because the one I saw most in her was the Volume 1 design of Weiss Schnee from RWBY. Both are practically royalty, both are in fact right in the same height range, and both use a sword. For Xiao, I think that Lie Ren from RWBY would fit. Both have dark hair with a streak of a different color (Ren has a pink one), both have traditionnal Chinese style attire and their color scheme is green/white

Something about Aya Shameimaru. In her franchise she's considered to be the fastest in gensokyo. Faster that than a vampire Remilia Scarlet who can circle the moon and back. One of the only other person to match her is Youmu Konpaku, a half phantom half human when she move on the ground which gave Aya a trouble looking at her as she's so fast Aya can only see blurriness of her shiloutte.

For Chongyun, look up Khun Ran from Tower of God. When I first saw Chongyun on Hu Tao's first banner, I thought that was who he looked like. On that topic, both Chongyun and Eula look like they could be from the Khun family. The family head certainly gets around.

I think the character that resembles Amber the most would be Kizuna Ai. She's almost like a recolor :0 As for Lumine, I think Djeeta from Granblue Fantasy, but only when she's wearing the Glorybringer skin. It's kind of fitting considering they're both the female protagonists for a fantasy gacha game with elemental damage mechanics.

I did not expect most of these but i never put that much thought into it, the dedication you had to this man. So many of them seem really fitting, it does show how sometimes characters can just give the same vibe even without looking too much alike, definitely some interesting details to look for among things. Though I'm honestly surprised no league of legends champs slipped in like Ezreal for Bennett, especially with their personalities. Haha he's a more annoying false grandeur adventurer.
