I just lost my best friend this month. Among other things, we would salvage dive the swimming areas together. We have found rings, cash, sun glasses and even a new GoPro Hero4 with fully changed battery. This ring find reminded me of a engagement ring he found three years ago (when he crowded the area I was searching!). I've heard him tell that story dozens of times (including the week before he died), and it never got old. I wish I could hear him tell it one more time. RIP my friend.

Got teared up a bit watching this. I had a similar experience a couple years ago with my hand made ring I made with my Girlfriend cast in bronze. I lost it at a state park and six months later I came back and found it buried under the leaves where we had camped. My reaction was similar to his when we found it. Amazing find.
