The tabletop and some other parts of the legs had that heat-sensitive finish that crackled when cool. Have never seen the like before. Restoration is a lovely compliment to the table. Those legs are real knee busters!😊🎉

People weren’t as tall as we are today. I had an antique table I was using in dining area. Had to remove it & use it as a side table. People were too uncomfortable 🥴

I have no idea, I only know that I used 4 kg of paint stripper just for the lower part of the table legs. The paint remover did not work on this paint😞

Was your Grandfather a Reverend (Minister, Preacher or man of religion) that table reminded me of a Communion table. Restoration well done, whatever it's previous use may have been, re-use, recycle, re-invest and respect for the planet.

Going to go against the grain here and say the signatures were not a good idea. They don't bring it into the modern age, they don't add uniqueness, they're chicken scratch on an already beautiful table. Some pieces just need a bit of TLC; new stain, new lacquer. It's a wonderful table that needed some love to make it shine again. Not random etchings of copied signatures.

The Table Looked Pretty Good Before You Started But WOW, Giving It some Depth by Lightening Some Areas really Brought out It's Architectural Qualities. Did Your Grandfather Make It? Was that Shellac on the Table Top? Very ASMR on Its Removal.

Hi Robert. Also in my opinion, using natural wood gave a different tone to the table. Unfortunately the finish was not shellac. Imagine that I had to use 4kg of paint stripper just for some parts of the table legs. That paint didn't come off with anything. My grandfather didn't make the table, he bought it.

Ciao cristiano, lo sverniciatore non funzionava era una vernice micidiale. Ho usato 4 kg di sverniciatore solo per fare una parte delle gambe del tavolo😰. Grazie per la Visione🤝

What a stunning piece! Only one negative to me and that's the famous signatures. If it were mine I'd have families or very close friends if no family to write their signatures to scan and put on the table. That's why people are so different and we have various pieces in order to see a variety of original designs. Well done! May I ask if you have the chairs and if so perhaps we can have a peak of them?

Constructive criticism is important to me. Unfortunately in this video the most time was paint stripping. It took 3/4 days just to remove the paint. No repairs or anything needed. I hope you like the next video, it will be a restoration of an ancient military chest.

Может я чего то не поняла.Обьясните мне ,для чего сканированные подписи и перенос их на столешницу.Ну очень странно.Сегодня работа выполнена хорошо.Но не отлично.Многим деталям стола, вы не уделили должного внимания,скажем честно совсем их пропустили. Очень жаль. Может кто то не увидел,или не обратил внимания,но я всегда очень внимательно слежу за вашей работой.Мне очень нравится это делать.Уж над этим великолепнейшим столом, можно было выложиться.Предать ему лоск.У меня сложилось впечатление,что вы занимались больше рекламой сканера .Сканированием и переносом подписей знаменитостей, на столешницу.
