The tall man lashed out from the darkness with a pair a pliers, clamping them down firmly on Shemp’s nose and twisting. Shemp cried with an agonized wub wub wub! Shemp managed to break free and retaliated with a sharp stab of his fingers to the tall man’s eyes. The adversary smirked and blocked it easily, bridging it with a flat hand. Nyuk, he said with a tone of finality.

I grew up in Chowchilla, California in the 70s and 80s. That is the town where, in 1976, a school bus really did disappear and was kidnapped. Thankfully, I was not on that bus that day, but many of my friends were. It changed the town, and is still talked about from time to time these days.

A new Lighthouse Horror is a great way to start the weekend! I had a superintendent that had about as much empathy for the students in his care because we had to be in whiteout conditions with at least 4" of snow to get a snowday.

I know that this was still bound to happen because the 2 girls sent that letter but I think this could've been avoided if that principal didn't send the children home.. Anyway, yet another amazing job from an amazing storyteller.. Thank you for everything you do, LH! ❤️

The two girls didn’t. The one girl did and used the two as a sacrifice. So no the teacher just got caught up in fate just like the man who started walking and didn’t stop till he died

I would LOVE (and I'm sure many others, too) for you to narrate some good horror books! If you ever get the chance,, as I'm sure you're busy, could you do Lockwood and Co. by Jonathan Stroud? Even if it's just in thirty minute increments, I would go ballistic haha.

My guess are that children are born amoral, like blank canvases waiting to be painted by their surroundings, I was pretty vicious when I was young, and that was due to my internet exposure to gore

Children are easily programmed. They are born innocent, but it's what society turns them into, what those who have access to their minds turn them into. If you don't have morals, structure, love, empathy, all those GOOD things to install into a child... well they will fill the void with what they will. And in todays society that can be a terrifying thing where the internet is concerned. And those with foul agendas. That is why "Protecting children" is a very real necessity.

The stories are so much better when we can watch you tell them from time to time. The way you talk with you hands and expressions make the story that much more scarier. I think the tall man is also called the slender man in other stories. He has been spotted just about all over the place. Man, you can really tell a spooky story. No I have to try and go to sleep, without a nightmare, Right.

*Spoilers* So thinking about the letter and the wording, does that mean Cindy offered her own soul, and her friend's as sacrifices to get rid of Beth? The protagonist seemed surprised that Beth made 2 sacrifices, since Meridith told him only one was needed. I guess im confused as to why Beth did this. I thought the wish was separate from the sacrifice, meaning that Beth could have wished for "freedom" for her and Janine and offered Cindy as a sacrifice, but instead seemed to give herself and Janine as sacrifices to get rid of Cindy for some reason??

My question is whether or not they really told her about him and then she sacrificed them and framed them with the torn out drawings of him at their houses to try to cover up what she did or if she flat out lied on them, they never told her about him, she knew about him all along, and she just picked 2 random girls for a sacrifice to increase her chances of her wish coming true. 😢

Steven, we have to co-op a store lol I'm always going out into the dark woods late at night to listen to your tales. I work as an Educational Assistant I've been at school when a storm like the one in the story. It just came out of nowhere. The school buses kids indeed where last to leave.

Lighthouse horror is by far the best story teller ever!!! He inspired me to start a channel after years of wanting to but because I suffer from dyslexia I could never do it. Did you hear about the teacher who lost her job because she sheltered a kid who had been kick out of his home? Or how about the cafeteria worker whose job was threaten because she offered to cover a student's lunch debt? Blame the principal for her classism but do not blame her for not taking the children to her house, I can just imagine the newspaper headline for that one.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I was also thinking that the teacher did nothing wrong. It sounds bad, maybe it is a little bad. But teachers are humans. If it wasn't the children's fault for getting up to normal behaviors for kids (trouble makers) then it wasn't the teacher's fault for not wanting to take seven kids to her house. The very thought of seven kids in my house is enough to give me nightmares. Seven kids or 7 ppl - my house is my last safe space in the world. And I don't let anybody in. Also the teacher didn't wish for that to happen, didn't want for bad things to happen. She just didn't want to take seven kids to her house, whether they were unruly or not. And yeah she probably have been up on charges somehow.

We're in Whitby, Yorkshire England. My husband's gone out for a constitutional with our lab & rottie, watching the rough sea at the back of the Abbey (dracula's castle), & i'm left here to clean up after 2 wks of almost constant rain, Goth Weekend, mud & dark clouds. So I've read comments from ppl saying they love to fall asleep to your stories. You are ALL are psychotic! 😂 I laid down last night and decided to try and fall asleep to this story...and I did...for about 30 seconds. I was just starting to go under when I hear, "Look out for the car!!" I came up off my pillow almost screaming and looking everywhere because I thought I was about to hit a car. 😳 NEVER AGAIN. .. but I still love your stories and will listen to all of them... while Im awake! 😄❤️

So, if I'm getting this right: Meredith called upon the Tall Man after being humiliated by Beth at school, offering the two other girls as sacrifices if he would make Beth disappear forever. Hence, why those three children were never found.

While that's devious and despicable. The scary part for me is whether or not they really told her about him and then she sacrificed them and framed them with the torn out drawings of him at their houses to try to cover up what she did or if she flat out lied on them, they never told her about him, she knew about him all along, and she just picked 2 random girls for a sacrifice to increase her chances of her wish coming true.

I live in Norway. Here the winter is so long, hard and dark that the schools never close. Only if it's below 35 F. and they can't keep the schools warm. The children ski to school in all kinds of weather. And we have studded winter tires on the cars and buses.
