As an Ohio residnt it's always surreal to see a video pop up on Jungle Jim's. The Jungle Jim lore runs deep here, some people say he used to move cocaine to pay for his store.

It’s crazy seeing the comments about how this is a bucket list kind of place. Meanwhile, Jungle Jim’s is just where I buy my groceries. Kroger is closer but it isn’t any more affordable so I might as well get some unique stuff. I love living nearby.

Some of the food is rwally expensive but some of it is cheaper than walmart. Part of the apeal is to go shopping for the most affordable and unique food combination. It truly is an adveture every time you go.

Jungle Jim’s has two event spaces. The monorail goes between the two venues. You can only use it for private events or ride it during certain public festivals that they put on.

I've known as a lot of people talk about wanting to go to this place but surprisingly enough I'm one of the few people that actually been there multiple times before it's a great place in Cincinnati always went there when we used to live up in Huber heights Ohio so it was a really good spot to go and grab some quick snacks check out the sites and a lot of other stuff.

I went here with a family friend's family while I was staying at their house, there to visit the University Of Cincinnati. Needless to say I was confused when they offered to take me with to the grocery store while they and my mom shopped. They described as a giant store that sold international food. I was expecting a big warehouse, with plain shelves, though this didn't quite mix with the name Jungle Jim's which I guessed was just a branding thing. Needless to say I was completely blindsided by this this unironically and shamelessly gimmicky, kitschy store. I found myself oddly charmed, even though that talking soup can completely jumpscared me when I walked into the main section past the original wooden store. It felt so earnest in all of the quirkiness and gimmicks that I couldn't help but be pulled in, and my Mom seemed just as charmed. She eventually bought a frozen Australian pie, which I was afraid would go bad on our way back home, but it was really good. Needless to say I need to go back sometime with a lot of disposable income and support this crazy place.

Local here; the animitronics and tourist fare pisses me off while I'm trying to shop for groceries. Prices arent even much more expensive than global chains so I prefer to shop here instead. I've met Jim in the parking lot several times, he always has something funny to say.

12:14 cut lengths & BOIL THEM ..... the soft cane should be then split split so 4 PIECES each and gnaw & slurp the centers. also can squeeze to juice it and boil that "sap" for syrup or continue boiling until it chrystalizes (inbetween by dipping cotton wick/string in boiling sap and drying like candles makes rock sugar, a 3rd world "candy")

1600 miles just to go to Cincinnati? Where you from my guy? You know about Kroger, you have to be somewhere between Missouri, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and before the original 13 colonies. Which tells me you're either outside of the USA or you're from the West Coast. I live 5 minutes from the Fairfield store, it's the same in terms of food, but different from the Eastgate location. Both have SO many choices when it comes to international food. Of course, he's been in this business so so long, that his family has helped oversee it at this point. The experience is being able to find foods you cannot find elsewhere. Several people I work with, cannot find the food they need in their native stores (Indian, Ecuador, China, South Africa, Thai), so it's cheaper to go to Jungle Jim's if you need some options you can't find in your own stores related to your culture.

This is incredible. If you are going to have a crap ton of money I would way definitely rather see people building cool and fun stuff like this rather gobbling up every other business in sight like most other successful retail stores. I wish I could visit there!!!
