I wasn't scared of mascots until i was walking at my college campus one day and saw our school mascot walking around completely alone. There was no event or anything and it was summer so there was hardly anyone on campus. I booked it in the opposite direction and now im always anxious around mascots.

@Salomon_G A lot of people are scared of things that look uncanny or strange. The concept is not hard to understand. Plus there's a difference between someone being scared and someone having a phobia. Lots of people are scared of spiders but most people don't actually have arachnophobia.
