Please don't ignore this whether it affects you directly or not. If you're abroad, look for signs in your relatives back here. People asking for money constantly but you can't see where it goes. Unlike alcoholism, no one sees gambling addiction develop. DON'T IGNORE

I was addicted to gambling too especially on the angle of looking for fixed matches. I met so many scammers and lost a lot.waaa!!!What made me quit is that I realized I lost more than I gained, those 100,200 or 500bob that you place after every hour or after few hours,they were too much. Worst of all are the panic attacks,mood disorders and anxiety that comes with it.

Benz you need to understand that people struggle with alot that they don't say. He is courageous enough to come out and talk about it. Platforms like this are good we learn from them and know how to deal with a situation should one be faced with challenges.

I feel you. Around 2017/18 when i was jobless i lost around 400k to gambling over a period of 10 months. I always thought i could make something out of it but that never came to be.

Aki betting wewe.. I have similar stories and instances where I gambled my paycheck in 2 days. One I will never forget is when after depleting my own money, my new girlfriend sent me to deposit rent money at the bank. Yeah you guessed right, I never made it to the bank. Fvck, and that was my wake up call. Imgn, working in gulf for 3 years to come back home with nothing.. A big chunk of it went to betting.. You found your strength to come out like that.

Try to understand why you are engaging in addictive behaviour. Then keep asking why to that answer. By the time you get to the third why you will know what you need to fix in order for the urge to stop.

There is something called co-occuring disorders which are common in mental illnesses. Lakini his gambling and alcohol problems are not the real issues. He has underlying mental health such as anxiety which have not been addressed. I know what am talking about. I practice mental health therapy in USA.

I once bet using my mom's chama money🙊instead of taking it to chama. I seriously lost the bet. Thank God I stopped betting a long time ago. Yes, the house always wins. You see, assuming 100000 people place a jackpot bet by staking 100 each, that's a total of 100M. Then assuming one wins the jackpot (which doesn't happen often) and is given 20M, they then remain with 80M. Prov 13:11 says, "Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase."
