Letting him get in the habit of galloping full speed back towards the barn is probably a bad idea
@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world2 ай бұрын
We purposely went both ways and he knows not to do it since we did have an accident before with that

Take some riding lessons. Relax your body, your legs and hands. You were tight and stiff, bouncing in the saddle. Then you started grabbing his mane and leaning forward. The horse was not comfortable with that and wanted you off. It's not the horse's fault... never is.
@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world2 ай бұрын
I at the time stopped taking lessons for a few reasons now I’m back into them and I will admit this was a dumb decision and I won’t be attempting it for a bit and I never blame anything on the horses I know this is a trail and error sport and that you have to be patient and take your time :)

Are you posting your trot or? Cause bouncing on his back could also be whats upsetting him 🤷🏻♀️😅

you don’t always have to post your trot. It’s better for the horse if you do but it doesn’t hurt them if you don’t.

I know everyone’s hating on you but honestly, you did such a good job on him and the way you handled the fall was amazing. It might’ve not been like the best position, but honestly, no one is at certain times and no one is ever perfect so I don’t know why people are hating on you❤

I’m sorry that that happened, hope you gain back your confidence and feel like galloping again! ❤ what happened though? I couldn’t really tell, I apologize…
@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world15 күн бұрын
I definitely got my confidence again don’t worry! And what happened was one back in this video I didn’t have the best balance and not a good half-seat form from what you can tell 😅 and he also dropped his right shoulder due to a muscle problem and all of that together just didn’t tie in well (ps. I’m known for falling at every new speed and so I was prepared for it to happen)
Gosh I remember when I fell off a tall AQH (American quarter horse) All that matters is that you and the horse are okay that horse was really good if he stayed close to where you fell I also learned idk if it's just a English riding this (I ride horses English) But if you sit your trot and bounce in the saddle it causes them to think "Oh go faster?!" and they'll canter and then it just becomes chaos but you did good and have a good day!
@A_HorseGirl_In_the_worldАй бұрын
Yeah I get ya there 😂 Bentley (the horse in this video) he had not been ridden in a year and that was only my 7 ride on him in pretty sure I also didn’t even know how to gallop so it was the blind leading the blind 😂
@KaylaXEquineYTАй бұрын
@@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world Ohh lol 😂 I'd recommend if your doing a ride on a horse that hasn't been ridden in a long time / while just do some simple walk trot and some canter and just go on from there once the horse gets better and cantering and you have more control, bond, and trust you can move on to do higher skill things like galloping but it's neither of your guys faults that you fell just a part of being an equestrian lol
@A_HorseGirl_In_the_worldАй бұрын
@@KaylaXEquineYT yeah we finally both got better if you need proof it’s in the newer videos 😂 I can now neck rein him at every speed and all we really have left is perfecting canter cues and then building his left lead muscle up and then perfecting his barrels, Texas barrels, poles, speed barrel, keyhole, and hopefully flag race at some point 🤞

@A_HorseGirl_In_the_world2 ай бұрын
To be fair it was my first time galloping and I won’t be doing it again for a while till I have better training and it really didn’t matter to me if he was on the wrong lead since we were in the middle of a big area and what’s wrong with asking him to trot and then lope? Most riders do that

Everyone starts somewhere right? In that case I wasn’t unsure I was just super unbalanced and just needed to get more balance before doing it again and if you look at my recent videos you will see that I’m a way better rider then I was but it’s a bit stupid to comment something like that when clearly everyone’s a beginner some point in their life with anything and the fact that I even posted this video and made a fool of myself says a lot cause who are earth likes to put stuff on the internet embarrassing themselves it just goes to show that I have a lot of courage and I personally don’t let anyone ruin this sport for me no matter what especially the comments I get so I personally don’t know if you meant this comment to be rude but I hope what I said changes your perspective
