I was really rooting for the champ. It gets hard to play naturally when there is a big skill disparity. I’m high diamond/low champ and I never know the right time to take over the play with my GC friends.

Actual reason to why half of the player count of all RL are around Plat 2-Plat 3 isn't because they're less mechanical than the winning opponents, but too mechanical. What I'm trying to point out is that when you play against plats, you can just secure a win going for fakes and dribbling the ball for a while, same with diamonds. Hard stuck plats and diamonds usually have most of their playtime in training, but practicing non nececcary stuff. I know because when I got out of plat, I had 320 hours. I was practicing stuff like better movement and control and air dribbles, but in a game, I didn't match the skill. My placement and gamesens was bad, especially since I'm 1v1 player it really matters if I got a good game sens. Now I'm champ 3 div 2, I have 690 hours of playtime and lately been practicing ground control and goal keeping alot. For low ranks: Keep practicing goalies, aerials, flicks, positioning and shot accuracy. I would recommend going for air dribbles when you reach champ since it's not really something that you should include in your playstyle yet. Once you first hit champ, it might be a good time to practice control and air dribbles. Hope this helped you rank up. Practicing right stuff can get you high rank with less than 500 hours if you're fast at learning.

quick note on camera settings. I got an ultrawide monitor and my camera settings would look pretty awful on a normal screen, but look standard on mine.

Napkin Im plat 1 in ranked but I’ve been told I have decent game sense and mechanics by champs and gcs I can consistently air dribble with air roll, and I’m on console so learning to air roll was hard. I’d love the opportunity to show off the skills I’ve learned at a low rank even though I don’t play ranked.

1st off- Your that rank for a reason 2nd off- you probably hit like the goofiest air dribbles ever 3rd off- air roll isn’t hard to learn on console 🙄 4th off- we all know your not as good as you say and you just wanna be in a video 5th off- Those champs and gcs are most likely trying to make you feel better and gas you up 6th off- where’s the proof? 7th off- even with the unlikely standards of hitting a air dribble you’ve probably never hit it in a game and probably just go in training with unlimited boost with no defender

@@Chaseel123 Yeah, you'll have a teammate who got boosted to the rank or is throwing. That's how you queue up with someone lower than 1 rank below. Also, most all of his games were losses, except 1. so like I said, dumb fuck. 9/10 times you're losing. If he kept playing with the gold, in SSL lobbies, he would hard derank until he got to c2 where he can solo them, and even then...He'd probably still lose.

You pretend like they are not playing against SSLs who have thousands and thousands of hours of playing games plus thousands of hours in freeplay on top of that. If you train enough and have good gamesense you can get from unranked to high GC without losing a single game even when you get the bad mate sometimes. But ofc thats not really doable if you are not already high SSL. Believe me a mid GC player can boost bronzes to GC1. Will they lose some games? Sure. But they'll get to GC.

Is it me or are golds getting better than plats? I was with a teammate and we were both gold 2 and we were trying to beat a diamond and a plat, I think we won 5:3 but we definitely won. Idk if they were the worst for they're ranks or it was just lucky.

As a hardstuck diamond- You can go against me one day and I'll be doing literal cieling shot musty doubletaps. Play with me the next day and you will think I gave the controller to my fuckin pet bird. Then there's the middle ground where you see me save insane stuff, and you think I'll score, and somehow crossbar pinch it into my own net. :| This is Rocket League!

@@kollects yeah the discounted 20% off coupon code I got from a video allowed me, 2.5k instead of 3k. Only getting one live coach session a week if you were lucky; the program kind of fell apart. Appjack left, spookluke gave/sold I can’t confirm, the whole training program to other coaches. I couldnt justify nearly a down payment on used car for “coaching”.
