$20 a day. Wow. It’s good that Tiffany is teaching her kids how to be responsible and finance money, that’s good, that’s great, there’s nothing wrong with that. BUT, ME PERSONALLY I think that’s a little bit too much money for them to be getting A DAY. I get that they’re financially stable and successful but I think that the money should be $20 a week so they can learn about how it is for most jobs when you get a paycheck every week. These kids are lucky, blessed and should be grateful to have parents like Tiffany and Benji because not everyone’s so fortunate. My parents barely give me money and when they do I have to earn it. (I’M NOT SAYING THAT THEY DON’T) That’s just my own opinion and I honestly don’t expect people to agree with me on it because I always wanna address this before some people come at me.

I get $5 every week and a lot of my friends at school say they get $60+ a week, and they don’t do chores. I get $5 every week for doing chores. If I didn’t do my chores one week, I don’t get the money, if the Nelson kids get $20 a day, then in one week they get $140. That is way to much, especially for the younger kids like Ellecee, Beckham, and Preslee

I also really surprised Tiffany didn’t change budgets between the younger kids and older kids. The way it works for me is that my parents paid us our age each week, after doing our assigned chores!

As important as this lesson is (way to go Tiffany for teaching about savings so effectively!), it's just mind boggling to me how much their daily allowance is. They get $20 a day. I get $20 a **month.** Of course everyone's situation is different, but I don't think that much money enforces the value of things that you buy. Unless they all continue being influencers, there is no way they will be able to keep up the lifestyle they had as kids.

I love this. I think that's totally reasonable for this family. These kids basically run Nen fam and another channel on their own. They've been making videos on their free time for years. If they logged the hours they worked, it would absolutely reflect a paycheck over that amount. They've been taught work ethic from day one, and this is a perfect start to teach them all about budgeting. And I do appreciate that Lilee is not included in this budget because high school / driving has more spending needs!

I hate to use this word but I feel like Paislee came across as very “spoiled” in this video. Whether she was joking or not I think the fact that she was acting like $400 a month wasn’t reasonable makes me think these kids get kinda whatever they want to begin with. My mom taught me by making me buy my own car and getting a job to pay for it. I saved a lot and did extra each month to pay it off sooner. I love the new fam and I think she is doing this the right way for how their family works. The kids do so much for the channel and they deserve it

I got a debit card at 10, and my older sister (then 13) got one as well. My dad ran the account, and I think it’s a great idea. Everyone went through their “spending phase” and it’s better to do it young instead of dealing with that later in life. It’s a great way to show kids responsibility

I get that $20 per day is unrealistic coz I didn't have a daily allowance growing up. but tbh they probably spend $480 per day/week for makeup/skincare/shoes nails. so in retrospect, $480 per month is better for them. although I must say it's not ideal.

My son is 11 when he was around 5 i started collecting bottles to return and the money he got from it I would let him spend a couple dollars on whatever he wanted and the rest i took him to the bank and he put in his saving account. As he got older he asked neighbors if they didnt return there bottles would they put them aside and once a weel he would go around and collect them. Now he has to put at least half in his saving and i do the same teaching to think what he spend the other on and if he wants something he waits till he has enough for it. best thing i started doing for him and he has a nice nest egg and a huge help being a single mom on diablablity. the struggle is really i have never been with out a car and my car broke down and struggle to get another on

The reason they are shocked they only get $20 a day is because they have been brought up getting what they want most of the time and it’s good that their parents are changing it now. Although it might be shocking to you , you have to understand they probably found out they were spending way too much money for just giving their kids money whenever they ask.

i would suggest that you stop begging to meet strangers. although you have a parasocial relationship with them, they are not obligated to have one with you. enjoy their content all you want, but try to respect that a situation like that may be unsafe or awkward for the kids and family. give them space, and stop expecting them to reply and excitedly invite you to a meet and greet.

Honestly I feel like the 20 bucks a day isn't as high as everyone's making it out to be since they have to pay for half of their own car and its for everything. Personally my parents paid for my car, they buy me lunch at work and sometimes they let me buy a separate dinner on their card. They've given me my own card and their card and while it helps me budget I only get $50/month so I think its up to each family on how they want to give the money and how much they will pay for instead of what the kids pay for

I'm sorry but a 10-year-old making 480 bucks a month is hideous. I understand someone over the age of 15 for hanging with friends etc. But I make 10 bucks a week and I am perfectly fine making 40 bucks. This is extremely spoiled I like the idea but every kid making that much money is a lot of money. I assume/know Tiffany and Benji are rich, and it may not be a big financial problem but 6270 a month just on their cards is I THINK harsh. and a paycheck EVERYDAY for 20 BUCKS is just not ok. Most kids are not AS CLOSE to being as privileged as them and they should be extremely grateful. I am not trying to hate on Presley but I think spending hundreds of dollars on products she doesn't need is UNNESCEARY. Before everyone comes on me it just an opinion.

Well said!! I got a $20 month clothing allowance starting at around age 12. All my parents paid for were toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, TP). I bought everything I needed from that money and money I WORKED for by Babysitting and other side gigs. $480 is outrageous. She needs to teach them to EARN money and they need to work on not placing value on overpriced brand names and trends. Or idolizing money and shopping.

I agree with you and I get that $20 per day is unrealistic coz I didn't have a daily allowance growing up. but tbh they probably spend $480 per day/week for makeup/skincare/shoes nails. so in retrospect, $480 per month is better for them. although I must say it's not ideal.

I feel you setting them up for success. My parents gave me physical money that I would loose. I feel having this type of card would help me learn how to save, spend, and donate at a young age. It would be easier for my parents to teach me.

@@luvqqgrxce it’s a debit and honestly it makes sense. With 16 kids ur money drains fast. I get trying to spend it out of ur own allowance but kids spend that money if they can see it. It’s so much better to have a debit, give them a limit and saving!

I think this will be really good for your kids to learn. The spending seems crazy! 20 dollars a day is a lot for kids but that’s just my opinion. I didn’t even get an allowance as a kid lol it’s like getting money for existing 😅 good for you guys though. Hope this helps them learn a lot!
