I actually never see higher forms gaining more in cost very often It's definitely one way to improve a unit while keeping it more balanced I will say this is probably the most unique true form I've seen ever, it doesn't look like something you would have to bring into the stage because it's so strong to the point it makes a stage actually playable but rather a nice strategic addition to already a strategic unit I wish PONOS was trying to go with this sort of mindset because newer cats seem to be less of mind scratcher but just a straight up winning answer

I can see ponor doing something like this, the only thing is they would not know how to actually balance slime and just give it a survive, but make it 100% and give slime rebound, basically giving him 2 deadly attacks.

Imagine if the true form was just a visual change, like it's evolved form. I think that would be funny, lol.

Very nice concept! Two years ago I drew a concept for Slime Cats True Form. It would have increased HP and more range. I don’t know if that’s good or not, but the true form would turn Slime Cat into Dough Cat where slime would now be a a dough being spun around by a newbie chef.

THIS TRUE FORM IS SO GOOD! I WISH THIS WAS IN THE GAME. personally, I wish there was a way for slime cat to have more of a rusher stat (like increased backswing and almost no foreswing). That way, if it did survive, then it would have more of a chance to use its strengthened stats effectively. The problem is that if slime gets to attack the enemy with its normal strength, there is ALMOST NO WAY for it to use its strengthened attack. I hope I explained it well enough.

This is interesting, but I think survive and strengthen go against the design philosophy of slime cat, since it's supposed to just get off one big wave and then die, requiring tight timing. But, I think move speed and range to make that timing more consistent would be a very good buff

I like this very much. It's like a pseudo lasvoss if you want the best results, time it properly to activate strengthen. Honestly, if ponos implemented this as a true form it would be very satisfying. But to be honest they're probably going to give him something stupid like behemoth slayer lmao.

what is the most balanced true form for slime you ask? ponos is going to give slime bunch of immunities for no reason

This would be a strong true form, but for the wrong reasons. On average, if every slime cat that procced survive got a hit (without getting one before) you would have the same damage output against the enemy being hit as just normal slime spam with every slime hitting. But your damage from slime to the whole field would actually be less. This means that actively going for the survive hit is not really worth it, especially considering that slime has to stay on the field for longer, leading to more vulnerability against waves and surges and attacks in general. This would be a strong true form, but not because the alternate playstyle youre trying to promote is good (which btw is a very fun idea, though probably hard to execute succesfully). Itd be strong because slime is already strong, and giving 5 speed and 40 range with a complimentary survive + strengthen is just absurd in its own right. A 300 price increase doesnt really justify it to me either

I think 50% Survive is not a good idea. It doesnt open up a new playstyle as you can't depend on it. If you purposely get Slime hit, half the time you get no damage, half the time you get double the damage, so it averages out, but for double the cowt of pre-TF. What this does is that it rewards playing badly. I'm not a fan of the concept. I'd suggest making it a 100% Survive and lowering the strengthen, or increasing the recharge time slightly to increase the risk of carelessly using Slime

Honestly I just wish they gave slime more range and that's it. MASSIVE QoL improvements

while i do like the idea of greatly changing slime cat's playstile i highly doubt this tf would be used nearly as much as og slime cat, it's supposed to be a high risk high reward situation but it seems too situational (?), like, slime is really versatile and usable in nearly all stages since it's a quick, cheap and effective nuker who is guaranteed to pay off as long as you're paying attention, but adding a whopping 300 more cost (nearly doubling it's current cost) just to make it *very occasionally* land another, stronger hit? not saying the tf or concept is bad, just saying that it'd be really hard for this form to outshine og slime outside of really skilled players in some stages. (i guess letting it get hit by a peon before attacking would make it far more useful but it's not really that frequent outside of the beginning of a stage or low unit stages)

I dont really like this TF that much, the concept is absolutely brilliant but the way its implemented is absolutely terrible, the fact that its 50% survive + even if it does survive, it will basically never get another hit off WITHOUT extremely good timing skills makes its a really RNG that could make slime cat a hated unit. The range increase is nice but 750 cost makes it detrimental compared to first/second form on cash tight stages. It needs to be executed better. My tip is to make it a rebound unit like fishman, but then its better to remove the strenghten as to not make it too op and make the survive 100% so its not RNG. TLDR: very good concept, executed very poorly.
