Great video, I very much enjoyed the more adventurous format. I didn't know you were a trail and marathon runner. There is a German KZfaqr, BlackmetalEndurancePunk, who combines similar interests in his channel. Maybe something that could feature more prominently in yours too. Anyway, it was only yesterday that I came across the podcast you are doing with the other guys - this sounds like great fun! Very exciting pickups. I came across Nocternity because they featured vocals by Whyrhd, who used to be a member of Lunar Aurora. Which is perhaps itself a rare thing. Today I'm much more into medieval history, Romans, fantasy, castles, and the likes than I was ten years ago, I think the band would resonate with me even more now. Something to revisit soon!

I just checked out endurance punk. I'll have to brush up on my German haha. Nocternity was a great find. super surprised to find that out in the wild. thanks for tuning in and also catch album club.

Love that Infernal Majesty! On my list for Album Club too - you have dibs though!

what is up. looking forward to what you snag at Vertigo when you make your way while in Michigan. I could have spent double picking albums up there. such a good time and thanks for checking this one out Jim

Damn I thought that was a Mad Villain album at first you showed. Cool that you got to meet up with Marty and TJ! Family reuinion. Quite a drive. Great thrash reissues man. I have an OG of the Sacrifice. Love them. Oooh nice NA. I need some of them. Love sweedish crust too. Think I have a Rat Cage on 7". La Vida Es (UK) does put out a lot of good stuff. Man I love Dopethrone just saw them again recently. Electric Wizard are good too. What a vinyl stack! Great update 🤘

Sounds like a good time. Nice pickups, you got some classics in there. That Wolfpack album rules. I used to have a couple issues of Worm Gear, wonder if they are still in my mom’s basement somewhere lol. 🤔

that Wolfpack album really takes me back. was super pleased to find that when I made my way over to the punk section. thanks for watching

Those Onslaught and Sacrifice albums are so tasty! Havent heard Infernal Majesty yet.
@killingforcompany66619 күн бұрын
I am having a hard time picking between the two. Infernal Majesty is another deal altogether for me - but that's a different conversation. lots of good thrash to listen to! thanks for watching and dropping a line in the comments!

Thats such a coincidence. I picked up the last Weapon record on LP probably the same day for $7 at my local shop.

A really really good band that just kind of slipped under the radar for me - getting caught up on the catalogue. been digging it and people are saying second is the best

It's really cool that you all got to hang out!!! I always like hearing about people from the VC meeting up in person :) I really like that Nocternity album a bunch! That Infernal Majesty - Onslaught - Sacrifice is an awesome triad :) I think I lean more into the Infernal Majesty of the three but I feel like that's probably a lot due to familiarity too.

Sounds like a killer trip all around! Totally agree that Come My Fanatics is just as classic as Dopethrone. That EW lineup created some great music. Did you ever check out the band Lee Dorrian formed with the former drummer and bassist? With the Dead was the name and I think it came out around 2015.

Nice score on that Nocturnity you NEVER see their records in the wild. The infernal majesty cover art is pretty stupid but that record kills. The Sacrifice is my fav of those 3 thrash records though. I have dopethrone but It doesn't really do anything for me, maybe need to check out the record you showed.
@killingforcompany66619 күн бұрын
I would get that it might be to close to the stoner sider of the doom/stoner equation for you, Devon but I could be off about that. If you were going to give another album a chance, that would be the one. I was pretty surprised to see Nocturnity in the wild. there were a bunch of records that I grabbed then put back - that one stayed in the pile.

@@killingforcompany666 i mean I like the first 4/5 cathedral records but my problem with the EW is the weird affect on the vocals.
