If you've watched this channel for any length of time you'll probably know that I am a huge fan of Kartel Daun and the positivity they've brought to the plant community. So when they reached out to see if I'd do a collab I jumped at the opportunity and now here we are! They sent me 5 surprise anthuriums to unbox, and I threw in a 1 week update just so you guys could see the health of the plants approximately 2 weeks after they left their cozy Indonesian home. Hope you enjoy!

I've ordered from him many times, the quality of their plants and the customer service is awesome. at this point i honestly don't even treat those plants like imports because they don't even skip a beat and keep growing as if they were domestically purchased. so excited for you to get to grow these plants!

I love their plants! They come in perfect condition, zero acclimation woes, and always with a new leaf on the way or a hardening leaf that doesn’t die!

Kartel Duan is awesome, the customer service is so good too. One of my seeds didn't make it and they sent me a free replacement that had one leaf!

Guess everyone’s messages went through to them ❤❤ Got so inspired by your non sponsored kd video Ended up getting quite a few Favourite one being Hu x red spider Blue pap and big foot All of which are doing well due to you and charmaines video Mine does have the silver but it’s very minimal which explains the dominance of the pap But it’s still very juvenile ❤ You have to love the indo anthuriums

Love their seeds....bought lots of fun hybrids this summer. HURC x self, Red Spider x Bigfoot, DP x self, Bigfoot x Goliath, Super Silver x HURC, DP x Velvet Mask, HURC x Bigfoot and DP......all bought as seeds and all doing great plus a HU bought as a seeding. I can't wait to see what they grow up to look like, so excited 🙂

I was very, very impressed with my Anthurium HU King of Spades baby plant I imported in August. The roots were, by far, the best import roots I've ever purchased. Actually, they were superior to a lot of roots on domestic plants. I planted her into PON in a prop box I'm going to let her grow in there for awhile as I do not want to lose her. I also bought a bunch of seeds. Time will tell how they do.

@@youdontevengrowhere Honestly, out of the 42 anthuriums I imported this spring/summer (yes, I went a little overboard), only three are thriving - my Mag is giving me leaf after leaf, my Friedrichsthalii is FLOWERING! and my Ceronii is more than ready to come out of my cabinet and live in the real world. That's why I was so impressed with the HUKOS. None of the roots on my other imports looked anything close to that good. The other 39 plants are in various stages of rehab. My last import arrived on 7-27 and went directly into dry-cleaning plastic bags. Three of the anthurium are just now ready to start acclimating to room humidity. I bought two Veitchii Super Narrow and one melted - what's left of the chonk is in a prop box. The other one is doing beautifully along with a Luxurians and surprisingly my Polystichum. I don't know how you and Charmaine are able to get your imports to do so well so quickly. I wish I did, as this has been one of the most wonderful, but most frustrating summers. I figure I have around 30 anthurium babies by next summer. It's been a expensive learning curve...

Laughing at how nervous I am about discord. I will definitely be awkward 😂 But how sweet that y’all went through the trouble. And how smart of you two to create to rules you did 🙌🙌 Great advice about watering with no drainage when everything is dry dry. I learned the hard way how quickly the water you add in that scenario will be absorbed. So sorry to hear about your computer but I dig that you can find joy even when you’re dealing with setbacks. Congrats on your beautiful plants.

Loved this video, just got my Kartel Daun order. I got a DP self seedling, a Hu/KOS, and q Blue Pap self seedling. I would really love to see more videos on imports and timelines, I want to see how fast you root things!

I Mitch my leca in as a soil amendment. I’ve gone spikes soil using coco coir as the base with leca, orchid bark, worm castings and perlite grade 3. Mix it all together. I’ve got charcol on order

I ordered from Kartel Daun before. The only critique I have is that I wish they let you choose shipping between UPS and USPS. I had to use UPS which sucks because I live in the middle of nowhere and UPS stops by my house last (like 8-9pm) which can be a problem if it's winter or summer. What makes it worse is sometimes UPS won't reach to me in time (happens often) and they'll reschedule delivery the next day after sitting in the hot/cold UPS truck all day. Thats the only issue I have with Kartel Daun.

I think the stateside shipping would depend on their US partner - if it jeopardizes the health of the plant I’m sure they would love to hear this feedback!

I like a lecca layer so I can actually see my water layer without having to waive the vessel around. I've been moving all my no drainage PON plants to PON with a lecca layer. It's so much easier to see what is going on.

I look forward to ordering from kartel daun in the future but I am kinda bummed that just 3 seeds will cost me 20 euro to ship. One seedling is also 20 euro shipping and these 3 seeds will be in the smallest packaging to begin with, shipping is just too expensive for me as a hobbyist, considering their plants aren't cheap either. Ecuagenera costs 18.90 per package for me. Not much better, but that's for a box full of plants. Bigger size, more weight. Makes more sense that way. Anyway, your new plants are stunning!!

I'm in the uk and you don't pay import fees. They have partnered with The Rare Plant shop who recieve your plants then ship them to your house
