They don't even use the right type of file in that fret end file. You don't want to use coarse cross hatched files like that, rather a mill file where the lines on the file all go in one direction. Makes a much smoother cut with way less work to clean up and polish after beveling. Not to mention a file that aggressive makes the odds of accidentally going too far into the finish go way up.

Austin, I love watching ur show. I think I watch every episode. But I always skip the playing demo. Rason for it being, I discovered you have a style of playing that make em all sound the same. And even this guitar, It's hard to believe, but it doesn't sound any different than some of the high end guitars you demo. Love ur show, not ur playing, I guess ❤

Same. Partly his playing, but I think it's mainly the type and amount of gain Trogly uses that makes everything sound the same, I think it sounds overly compressed. My favorite thing about Trogly's videos is how he disassembles and inspects every instrument and takes neck measurements.

@@BIZARBIES: if the purpose is to demo the *sound* of an instrument compared to *other* instruments, doesn't it make sense to play the same riffs through the same setup with the same mic position and same settings every single time? Wouldn't any other comparison effectively be apples and oranges because you'd be introducing spurious variables? If you want to hear different riffs, go watch music videos.

@@BIZARBIES: I think that's a fair observation, too - I don't think that electric guitars with similar electronic setups sound as distinctive as guitar players have convinced themselves that they do once you hear the recorded signal isolated from the acoustic sound that the player perceives from the instrument in hand. I think it's a fair idea that he can use the same "demo" riffs briefly in each video but then maybe vary them throughout the rest of the demo, but I suppose when you're cranking out content as quickly as he does, maybe it's not feasible.

This is by far your funniest video Trog! I've seen every video...and I'm so used to you being so meticulous about your guitars...seeing that poker chip flopping around while your demo had me rolling.😂😂...sometimes it's fun to get away from the collecting side of guitars and have fun with them..and sometimes you end up with a pretty descent guitar....I did something similar with a glarry 5 string bass..I put a badass style bridge on it bone nut and Wilkinson single coil jazz bass pups....I joke and say glarry got their upgrade pbass idea from me,I made my Jaz long before them! But yea,it's a descent bass,I play it all the time

Nobody is buying a Temu guitar for the 'worth' of it as if it's going to have resale value. And if it sounds like every other humbucker guitar and is comfortable with a setup, then it objectively provides the same 'worth' as any other guitar as a functional tool.

I always take the poker chip off anyway. I know how to operate a three-position switch, and I think the chips look goofy. I'm not a fan of the snot yellow plastic. I'm not sure the pupswap was an improvement.

November 2024 i bought a Dlaso temu telecaster for $60.00 and $40.00 in solar lights. The tele copy was for me to learn guitar electronics (solar lights were garbage) but it was worth the learning experience. I abused the fake tele very cheaply and now understand how to properly upgrade good T style guitars. With the coupon i ordered a strat style so i can learn the S style guitar electronics. It should arrive in a couple days. Btw. The S style was only $29.95 with the coupon. Temu will annoy you every hour once they have your email address, and im sure theyre selling your email address

If I hadn't heard so many Les Pauls in the hands of true masters, and watching your show so long, it wouldn't sound terrible but it sounds a little cheap. That said, for the price, whatever that is, not a bad beginner guitar. Ok... I don't think the mods made a huge difference but ok...

I mean id rather get my information stolen from a shady porn site than temu. But i get it, if someone offered me a cheap guitar and a few other goodies id let them mail it to me for my time, especially if they gave me some of that extra cheese aka paid me. I still like the gibson dragon you got from that other sketch co... you should list it on reverb for 15k to get your money back from the snake pit lmfao

I bought some chrome top humbuckers from teamu maybe a year ago came as a set,,(2/) sunk one of them into a LTD LP that had a bad pickup and let me tell you, they really don't sound bad. And it matches the output of the others pretty closely,,:

Worst company you coulda partnered with. And if you were more honest about it I WOULD say “hope this doesn’t hurt your reputation” but it looks like even respectable people can be bought.
