I don't think she was cold..I think she needs to be wrapped up in the blanket she came in. Then you need to hold her and talk to her softly and tell her how much you love her. Rock her,sing to her or speak to her in soothing tones. I did this automatically for a friend whose 8 week old toy poodle I went to pick up inside at the breeders home. The breeder told me that the puppy was very frightened and he was shaking is why she informed me. I held him close like I would have with a human infant. To this day my friend's dog also considers me to be his" other mama". His human mom told me that he loves me very much because I was the first to hold him and make him less frightened. He still loves being held by me! Hold your puppy or if she is older now more often). Let her really truly bond with you..hug her gently, talk to her very gently I think she would absolutely love and adore that so much from you!
