Hey everyone! I want to start by saying thank you all for your support. This has been quite a road but I couldn't be happier, this is that girl and I am clean for over a year now, got my kid back working on the other two (it's been years since I've seen them so it's going to take time) however after this video I got pregnant out there, and then I was able to get clean come home and that's what I did. I'm in college now for Psychosocial rehabilitation and Addiction's Counseling. Ohh and I got teeth now LOL a full mouth and hair. haha God I was so bad out there. God blessed me with such a gift of clarity. I'll even be willing to do another video

Doing heroin was “the thing back then” 😳 Lord, I’m so grateful I wasn’t into “fitting in” or running with crowds where dope was cool. And where I’m from isn’t a walk in the park but I was never tempted AT ALL. Thank God and my mom.

A lot of blame on other people. My daughter is an addict and as a mom its hard to hear. We all do the best we can with what we know. I think its important to grow from our own experience, as well as those around us. Once you step out of the house, you are responsible for your choices. All my best for Dominique. Smart girl.

My son is an addict. To hear him, he had the absolute worst childhood and was so abused, blah blah, but he wasn't! MY husband was tougher on him because he was SO strong willed and dud some really bad things. He was also so very cute and greatly loved. I never told him he was a bad kid, but that he did something bad. Etc. He recently told me a bunch of stuff I know wasn't true about some other people, and when I tried to tell him it just wasn't true, he launched into me and said some really terrible things to me. So I know that as I listen to some of these people talk about their parents, I take it with a grain of salt. We are all responsible for our own actions. You cannot blame your drug abuse on anyone else.

Not only should a 15 yr old not have her boyfriend living with her BUT a 15 year old should not have an 18 yr old boyfriend. That’s trouble... but hey, that’s just my opinion. What do I know... I’m no parent. 14 hanging with 18 yr olds?? No ma’am! “None of them were doing things kids my age were doing” is exactly why that age difference is too great. Dating 26 yr old at 15?! Call the cops on his ass!!

Domenique, Please know that your Great-GrandMothers Aneursym is NOT your fault hun😥😥. And don't ever let anyone ever blame you for that. Aneurysms are not as uncommon as most people think. It broke my heart to hear you say that you feel it was your fault. I promise. It wasn't❤ I do respect that you do not get in relationships because of your addiction💞. Please stay SAFE (as much as you can there). I hope one day you see your worth and you return to your family and children🙏🏽🙏🏽. Mal's a GREAT guy and so he will update us on how you are doing if you want him to❤.

Dominique if you are reading this. You are unique. You are very self aware. Use your pain and experiences to get the help that you need. You can get your life back. You are strong and smart. I can see you being a doctor, stylist or both. You have good communication skills. Can totally see you as a fitness instructor. Your smile is beautiful. The father had mental illness; physically abuse; but his intentions were good. Her mother was permissive of her behavior, was distracted by working, going to school and tending her second family. She drained her grand parents mentally and financially. She manipulated everyone until she got her way; but she feels no one loved her the way she needed to be loved. 29, 2 children and suck in her story.

She's still young and strong... she can turn things around!!! 💪🙏🏽💛

Dominique, you have clearly learned a lot about yourself through your journey and its obvious when you speak that you are so intelligent! It sounds like you have already been through some forms of therapy, maybe just with family and friends (I'm not sure) but you've already made so much progress with the mental part of it! One thing that I learned from a therapist was that you have to learn to actually put "blame" on those that have hurt you because you can never forgive something if you don't first recognize that something wrong was done to you. It's okay to fully blame your parents for how they raised you even if they're better now... Once you sit with that and accept it you can then decide if you want to forgive (which you don't have to do at all by the way if you don't want to) it's a process. It sounds like you are hesitant to place blame on them because you can recognize what they were going through as people and therefore understand why they did it. That is so empathetic of you and shows how compassionate you are. You're a good person! Just don't forget that you were a child and that you weren't responsible for anything that happened to you when you were a child. That is completely on your parents and its ok to recognize that. Forgive yourself for this life and the place you're at now because you were dealt a really hard hand in life and you are a survivor! We are the same age and I really feel for you. I know you have it in you to fight these demons and find peace. I believe in you! I know you can get clean and find some happiness in this short life we have. I'm rooting for you and thinking of you. You deserve to live and be happy! Sending so much love.

I am 4 years clean from drugs and alcohol . I keep saying clean and not sober because i am not sober yet🤔 it' very difficult but if you really want it you can do it. My soul had to be Very tired to decide to really try. Follow your instict. Even if you are energetic addicted follow your instict. It is the only way to be as safe as you can.

That's sad .. I've been hurt during my addiction n I been in n out of treatment programs n finally it stuck with me. I got a year of clean n sober time . I came home to help my family n now my daughter is in treatment. I'm happy for her. Buuut I started to get bored n on the second day home I went to look for a job n got one right on the same day m I stay sane with my kids n grandkids n my mom who love so much . Feels good I love life
