I love the Fireteam. It's just all around good. It handles great, it's durable, and fast. If you move the battery tray back and stiffen up the center diff it'll wheelie and flip like a Outcast or Kraton. I just love watching it carve turns, the way the sway bars work and the front tires lean with the body level as it drifts around. The stock tires are actually pretty good too. I just picked up a set for less than half price on one of the big store sales. The main weak point are the small body panels. I recommend taking all the screws out and using small washers to keep them from just ripping through. Also put the speed pinion on. The electronics will handle it fine. I've got a bunch of big expensive rigs and it's still my all around favorite. I'll step over my Xmaxx to grab the Fireteam to go bash.

It is an awesome truck and like you said the handling is amazing. I very well may stiffen up the center diff though

Ive had terrible luck with Arrma products and wont be buying anymore unless something spectacular unlike any of their current models, then i may. When i replace electronics, i use very few Hobbywing, plenty of Castle and Plenty of Dynamite (which dont exist anymore). I RARELY use RTR electronics to replace the electronics and when i do it is only Dynamite products. My first choice is always Castle, second is Dynamite, and third is Hobbywing.

If I have usable parts at home that will save me from buying a $300 system I’m going to use them. No point letting a combo that belongs to a discontinued car go to waste. As for Arrma I haven’t had any issues thus far. Even when I was an rc mechanic at a hobby shop Arrma was the toughest brand around. Anything can break but compared to every other brand I’ve seen these hold up to my personal driving style the best. To each their own I guess 🤷🏻

@@Oni_Blxck I can understand that but RTR electronics always seem to take a dump very early on. Traxxas ESCs are terrible, Arrma servos are probably the worst (not current spektrum servos although they arent much better). I dont usually change out my electronics till they go bad, but i have swapped them early on in some cases. I personally wouldnt install RTR electronics back into an RC once ive removed it (when it still works obviously)

If the original worked I wouldn’t but once I got this thing home and cleaned everything was fried. I agree on the servos and on Traxxas electronics though and once this system dies I’ll probably upgrade or build something else. It’s more than likely getting a castle setup if that happens though.

When you take off the bodies its basically a kraton 6s

Almost identical except this shares the extra long wheel base chassis with the Mojave. Technically speaking you could use any 6s arrma chassis with any of their 6s cars. You could put this chassis on a Typhon and stretch it if you were so inclined.

Never had a hobao but I can confirm this was my fault. You submerge any car like that and chances are it’s not going to work after. Brand has no impact on that.

Trust me they all break. It all comes down to how you drive them or submerged them 😂.
