I’ve always wanted to get bangs but again like this girl, I’ve had the exact same haircut, I part my hair the exact same way everyday (as you can see in my picture) and I’ve never dyed my hair in my entire life so it’s a big move to do it and if I don’t like them/ feel they don’t suit me then I’m screwed because they take so long to grow to a normal length...

Neither, it's a weird use of both words. Fringe is typically more British and has a longer history as a word, whereas bangs is more American and comes from the word "bangtail" which is to cut horses tails really short in a straight line

Curtain bangs are sometimes styled that way hence the name. When you first get bangs the way you part your hair is the way the bangs want to go. She will have to style it downwards and hold it with clips or spray.

Diana Carvalho fringe is a more wispy and covers a part of the forehead, bangs go straight down over your entire forehead.

In other countries, they call “bangs” fringe. In America, most people consider fringe to be more wispy, messy, or flowy. Like how hers are parted down the middle and off to the side. I know it’s weird, but I guess when you say just “bangs” people assume it’s the heavy, straight across Zooey Deschanel style bangs.

Fringe has a longer history as a word and means the same as bangs but it typically more British, but bangs has different connotations as the word came from "bangtails" which means to cut a horses tail really short and in a blunt line and usually used in America

I'm hopefully getting a fringe this Saturday! I used to have a full frontal fringe when I was like 7 or something and then they turned into curtain fringe, and then eventually they disappeared!! Time to bring them back at 23!!! I hope I look good with them.

I don't get the point of whispy bangs, side bangs, or curtain bangs. Cause, with side bangs it just looks like you parted your hair to the side. With curtain bangs it just looks like you parted them down the middle. And the whispy bangs are you just a few strands of hair.

She's more prettier with the curtain bangs. She looked younger and more vibrant and fun rather than her old hairdo where she looks very mature and lackluster. The bangs really did its job on her.
