@@ItsAidanJamesshe actually does write her own stuff, I don't know if there's a reason for you to be lying or you just like to contradict others saying things you don't have any knowledge about just for fun. She's a perfectionist and have full responsibily as far as songwriting, every lyric that you hear in the albums came out of her head, most of it when she was 9-15 years old. She also plays a major part on her production aswell, her drummer Magnus and sound engineers help in the proccess but nothing goes by without her approval. Watch her documentary Once Aurora.

@deviousraul she co-wrote "it happened quiet." Which means she didn't write "all" of her own stuff. And isn't me putting her down. I love her and absolutely respect how good she is at writing and singing.

Funny thing you mentioned Billie. This is what she said a while ago about what inspired her to be an artist: “When I was 12, I saw Aurora’s ‘Runaway’ music video. Something inside me clicked, like, that is what I want to do, no matter whether it goes anywhere or not.”

AURORA is from Norway. I discovered her a few years ago from a cover she did of Massive Attack's "Teardrop" (a classic in the trip hop genre), and I"ve been hooked since. She has 4 albums, tons of covers and unreleased songs, and is one of those artists that's at least as good live as they are in their studio versions. Definitely check out more. I'm not going to make a recommendation since I'm not sure you can go wrong, but she has a lot of different styles, so keep that in mind. Also you mentioned Billie Eilsih, which is interesting, because Billie mentioned hearing AURORA's song "Runaway" as being an inspiration to pursuing music. I don't really see the similarity, but I'm not much of a Billie fan, so I'll claim ignorance on that one. Thanks for the AURORA reaction (I first found you a few weeks ago from other reactions, so I'm stoked you're doing AURORA). Keep 'em coming!

@@poloreacts27 Aurora is 5.5 years older than Billie (June 1996 vs Dec 2001), so Billie watched the music video for Runaway, one of Aurora's first songs, when she was 13 and was inspired. Here is the full quote along with Aurora's response several years later: youtu . be / y9tyECALPps&t=133s "Was there a particular artist or song that you listened to growing up, that you like: 'Thats it! I have to do music, because that just spoke to me'." Billie: "OMG, I grew up on so many, so many artists, but I feel like the moment...Actually I was like sitting on my bed, and I was like 12, and I had already started writing music, I just did it for no reason, kind of random, I have a lot of things I need to say, and I did not know how to say them. But I remember sitting on my bed when I was like 12 or 11, and just like surfing KZfaq as you do, and there was this little video and it was called 'Runaway' by Aurora, and I had no idea who that was, and I had no idea what the song was, but the thumbnail looked cool, so I clicked on it. And I remember just sitting there and the intro played, and I just was like: 'Oh! That's what I wanna do', and then it just like, immediately I was just like in love with that whole idea." youtu . be / P_-aEdRG95I&t=643s Aurora: "I think Billie Eilish said that Runaway really inspired her to do music herself, and I think that's amazing cause then Runaway has served the purpose music should serve. I don't like when people say that: 'Runaway made her make music, so it's the song that did everything' Because it did NOTHING compared to....like she and her brother...they have done everything. It's just a tiny seed and they are the flower."

Aurora have many powerful songs. The lyrics and the music is breathtaking. She's Norways mother earth 🌍 Going barefoot connects her to the ground and to the nature she loves to take care of. Thank you so much for reacting to Aurora. Hope to see more. The seed is a song she wrote when she was 11 I think. But released it a couple of years ago. It's heavy and the message is so clear. She's worldwide famous by now. Some would call her a true Norwegian viking. The chanting in many of her songs is kinda like the viking chanting. Love from Norway 🇳🇴

OK, now that you have listened to my favorite Norwegian angels AND enjoyed them, I have to subscribe. There are a lot ways to continue in her rabbit hole, covers and originals, usually her live performances are more emotional and expressive. But all her songs are great. She is a very empathic person, a nature fairy, a pure soul. Very funny too! She was 19 (I think) in this beautiful concert. Currently very active with concerts in Europe and USA.

Everything is in Divine Timing. I love that you found my favorite singer and the most Innate song I've ever felt. Aurora wrote this as a young child along with so many others. Now, how would such a young child be able to not only perform such masterpiece but be able to write the words in complete understanding if not a true old soul? She has so many wonderful gifts to share with you so I look forward to your next reaction my dear friend. 💜

New subscriber here. This is one of the best first reactions to Aurora that I’ve seen in a bit. She’s a magical creature. Looking forward to more from you. What she does musically is just scratching the surface of who she is and can do creatively. This performance is a fantastic jumping off point. Check out Runaway live from the Nobel Peace Prize concert and Murder song also live from the Nobel Peace Prize concert. My personal favorite is It Happened Quiet live at The Current. She gets completely lost and wrapped up in her live performances and it’s exquisite to watch.

Thanks for a great reaction 🤩 In Norway we learn English in school, so we usually have a more English accent 😊 About the song: Yes it’s an original song, she writes her own music 👍 Aurora said in an interview: "Through the Eyes of a Child' is one of the most important songs for me. It's about, the older you get, the more you see, and it's kind of like you miss the times when you thought everyone was nice, and that everything was nice, because it's hard to know all the darkness. Also we have lots of light, and I know that as well. But it's kind of like wanting to go back to the innocence, and see the world through the eyes of a child. It's a very important song for me." Aurora is so unique, she’s a musical genius ❤️ If you want to get to know some more about Aurora, I really recommend watching the documentary “Once Aurora”. It’s an intimate documentary where you get to see how much work she puts in to her music 👍 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gLqJi9p8y7Xanqs.html Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer. She plays several instruments like piano, guitar and harp (what I know of). She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano 😍 She’s born on the 15 of June 1996, she’s from a small place in Os outside of Bergen, and is currently living in her apartment in Bergen 😍 When she was 6 years old she found an electric piano in the attic after her older sister. Because the power button was broken she had to play with only one hand, and she did that for years. She began writing music without lyrics at the age of 6, and with English lyrics at the age of 9. A couple of her songs that she wrote at the age of 9 is some of her most popular songs. They are “Lucky” and “I went too far” Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14 years old. This is actually a great song to start with, every song from this concert is amazing 😍 Could you please react to Auroras most known song, the video has almost 400 millions views👍 But don’t react to the video, react to the live version at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMlni7qIxKvMkmw.html And “Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)” live at the same concert 👍 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html She’s always best to see live, but she have some great music videos that I would recommend before watching her live versions, and they are “The Seed” official video and “Queendom” official video. Those are more upbeat songs 😊

Aurora is different, in all ways. Every song she writes or adapts, all are different. Every performance is different, that is why she is best live. She has so many albums now it's hard to pick a favorite song. And so many differnet styles and sounds. Yet they all sound like Aurora and nobody else. I'd say just explore them all in the order they came out. Her audience is so varied from teen girls to old war vets that understand the pain she has been through. So there is something for everyone I'd say. On a side note, both she and her mother often watch reactors on KZfaq to get feedback on her craft. So she will likely see your channel soon. And I think she'll love it.

Cool reaction. She has so many great song to enjoy (and hope you will continue to react to her) :). She started to write songs, and play piano by herself without any education. Some songs on a album was written when she was a child f.e. 9 years old Lucky (I recommend to listen to it from live the same concert in Nidarsdomen) or 11 for Runaway (great performance from Nobel Prize Concert) And she write song by herself and even co-produce them. On one documentary there is a info she usually comes to the studio with 90% ready song :). Ps. She also has some great covers (some made within a 1h hour as a challenge to P3 station).

Another singer you might like is Haley Reinhart. She has some *amazing* covers she does with Postmodern Jukebox that are very reaction-worthy. One of my favorites, which I think might be harder to do a reaction for but it's just a great background on her story, is the one she sings with her dad called "Haley Reinhart performs with her dad at Chess Records in Chicago". Also just an idea but you're cranking these out so fast I can't watch them all. (first world problems lol) If you haven't already maybe bank some so you can throw them out on days you have things going on or just don't feel like recording.
