Won’t lie, I hate playing against suspected Smurfs, especially in TGs. But it’d be an honor to know I was against one of the top pros, even though I most likely got memed on for the lost, it would still be cool to actually play against a pro. Well done making the game at least memorable for the other guy, it’s a game he will never ever forget.

I hate too. I can play something like... 4 or 5 games per week and it's a moment where I want to game fair games and test myself against people like me. When I play against smurfs is so frustrating for me because I feel like I'm not playing a fair game. Well, it wasn't Hera fault, but I probably would just GG as soon I find out because I don't want that kind of frustrating situation.

@@GuilhermeMiranda89 What's frustrating about losing like this? He got to play a game against the best player in the world for 47 minutes. If I ever have the chance to match up against the best, I want that chance. As long as they're not being disrespectful, and Hera was being a good sport here, it is all fun. If I went to the park and saw an NBA player, I'd want to play them, and I'd want them to dribble through me, dunk on me, and beat me with all they've got. If I can't enjoy that, then I need to take a step back and learn to laugh at myself sometimes.

@@mbvglider Not my vibe. It's not about winning or losing, but playing a fair game. Hera was very respectiful, but I don't like that happening with me. I don't want to play soccer with the best player in the world, I wanna have fun and having fun, for me, is playing in a fair match where I know I can lose or win. And honestly, the guy there of course he was very friendly and all that stuff, but I feel it like he was umconfortable with the situation.

@@GuilhermeMiranda89 I mean I enjoy playing in games that are absolutely fair and I have a chance to win in. But, if I get matched against a pro, playing on his real account, and the pro is clearly not playing all sweaty and it seems like he’s gonna meme…what do I have to lose by trying? It’s pretty sure a 99.999% chance that Ill lose and I know that, but just being able to say I played against a pro in a ladder game would be cool. Again, I know almost for a fact it’d be a loss…but I’d gladly take a loss playing against a pro and enjoying the situation for what it is over dealing with another (suspected) smurf who sheds elo constantly (5-6 losses in a row in games that last 5:01) to keep their TG elo low so they can feel cool or whatever beating players in what’s supposed to be a fair game. It might not be how everyone feels, but I’d for sure think it was awesome getting memed on by a pro that I happened to somehow match on the ladder.

To be fair, it's the game's fault for matching the both of you. I don't think it'd be reasonable to be mad at you for it. It's not like you were smurfing with an alternate account. And in the end, it was just unfortunate for the both of you since you don't really get any points for winning. 11 But hey, at least he played along for the purpose of entertainment, so big respect.

How about this challenge mode: each age, you pick one unit. You can only make upgrades for that unit, but you can continue making all the previous units you chose. Eco units don't count, and towers count as a unit, but you can always get castles and unique techs. Stone walls also count as a unit. Example: Militia, Scout Cavalry, Monk, Trebuchet. Only Blacksmith upgrades you can get are Forging and Scale Barding. If both players are doing this challenge, you have to announce your unit when you pick it, but you can delay your pick; it doesn't have to be as soon as you age up. This is the Shihinshu Gun (Goon) challenge (四品種軍, Four Varieties Army or Quad Comp). (Translated Four Varieties Army to Chinese, then read it as Japanese)

Skill difference between 1200 to 1500 is highly basic ... Build orders, army control, army awareness, up time etc I feel like after that its strategic, micro and awareness skill difference ... Ppl higher elo are quicker, better micro and more aware of the situation and better response times but everyone after 1500 knows build orders, counter etc ...

Isnt 1200 Elo like already in the top 35% of ranked players or something? I think people have a screwed perception of elo - like 1400 + is already kind of advanced in my humble opinion (hitting like top 10% of ranked players)

But basically if you’re focusing on numbers then sure they are at a certain high percentile but skill wise they are SO far from understanding the game and playing it optimally that implying a percentage of skill above others entails understanding of the game is just incorrect

I've been a ranked player since DE came out. I believe they should modify the number of ranked games new players have to complete in order to get ranked. In my opinion, 10 matches are too many, and it often discourages many new players. It would be more reasonable to lower it to just 5 matches to attain a rank. Additionally, instead of starting new players at 1000 Elo, they should begin at 900. Considering the skill level of a completely inexperienced player, even 900 Elo is quite high
