Do not believe it junk. Their is already a couple of Federal safety recalls on them. Known to shut down at 50 + miles an hour. Also the V 6 with echo boost is having trouble with engines blowing up after as little as 30 thousand miles with engine valves locking up after only a few hundred miles. NITSA is looking into ordering a factory safety recall. Nice for a lawn ornament. Ask him how great it is after he has driven it while and watch what happens.

Agreed. I like how the Wrangler uses a pull strap for the seat back adjustment. It's quicker and easier to reach and adjust when you're in a hurry or have gloves on than power seat controls. It's more "utilitarian", as they say.

@@twg2118 Only in the Big cities like LA, San Fran and Seattle -- Even in Western Canada (I'm in Vancouver, Canada) sometimes that 60 km (40 miles) traffic jam on Highway One from Vancouver to Langley makes even the Santa Monica Freeway look like a fully open bike path! traffic is everywhere whenever any Metro area starts getting past two million people ( we at 3 million now in the Lower Mainland/Metro Vancouver area!) Not as big as Toronto or New York but now getting near Seattle and San Fran! If you want MUCH LESS of the crowds, try anywhere in Oregon, Western Washington State by the coast (i.e. Aberdeen and Olympic Penninsula) or Northern California and then on into Idaho, The Dakotas, Montana and Utah! In Canada try eastern and northern coastal BC and anywhere else in Alberta that is NOT Edmonton or Calgary! Those place have a LOT FEWER PEOPLE and the there are wild mountains within driving distance! If you are East Coast, anywhere in Vermont and Maine will do. Minnesota is a tad cold and in Canada I would say Newfoundland and New Brunswick are for your more outdoorsy types who don't like crowds. Quebec and Ontario are getting too crowded these days. In the USA, if you want the BEST BALANCE of big city accessibility and cheap living costs BUT having nearby access to mountains with FEW people, I would say New Hampshire near the White Mountain National Forest and Anywhere else within 150 miles of Mt, Washington, NH! Lots of Summer and Winter recreation and it's still drivable to Boston for a weekend Red Sox or Bruins game or for Big Box shopping! In Canada, that would be Winnipeg, Manitoba where you still have big city amenities and cheap living costs but also have access to lots of winter and summer recreation spots with very few people. Lake Winnipeg is really really BIG (9,464 square miles or 24,514 square kilometers) so lots of summer boating and swimming and then winter ice fishing, skidooing or nordic skiing!!! If you are European, I highly suggest anywhere in Hungary outside of Budapest and anywhere outside but still near Reykjavik, Iceland! Lots of amenities but a lot less people and cheaper living costs with lots of outdoor recreation available! V

They have a video of the frame that shows the upgrades to the frame mounts, control arms, and spindles it uses that are SVT only. The hood vents are not “intake vents” as the air box is visible on the passenger side and probably sourcing clean, cool air from the passenger fender. Other than aesthetics, there might be a small cooling benefit of hot air escaping through the vents in the hood. Looks cool.
@nothingtoseaheardammit
@nothingtoseaheardammit 2 жыл бұрын
It's a heat extractor vent - facilitating airflow through the engine bay. On my rig, a bunch of windtunnel testing was done about 20 years ago to find out why overheating was a problem on the highway. The best solution that the engineers found was a pair of heat extractor ducts right in front of the windshield. This kept the air pressure from building up inside the engine bay. Also had the added benefits of keeping the windshield warm during the winter months :)

I wish the manufacturers did a better job managing their dealers. I would love to have one but I will not pay the mark up... I have been looking at the Defender and test driving them. So far NO mark up and even so far a savings of MSRP. So if I buy over the next 30 day Ford is out and Land Rover is in...Americans are funny about the perception of being cheated by a brand. Great solo video Roman. Enjoyed seeing you take the new possible “king of the hill” on a real trail. Just watched Tommy’s take on the vehicle rock crawling in the desert. Looks pretty special rolling on 37’s in stock form. Those fender flares will be polarising that’s for sure. Have a fab day 🙂

I’ve never noticed how big the 3rd brake light is. That’s one way to fit in the 3 clearance lights.

Thanks for the video. I wish I had mine. I'm disappointed in FORD's delivery on this one. Summer 2022 delivery has left the building.

I care less about the v8 than I do being locked out of the model I want, w/manual. Was very close to just pulling the trigger on the i4, but knowing this line has so many better production options to offer- I’d rather a) just do another jeep build for the same amount and get to customize it a bit more or b) wait until the (hopefully) overwhelming demand convinces ford to make a manual V6 option. As always good content. Keep it up. 👍

I get it, but that width just kills it for how I would use it in WA. So many logging and hunting areas in WA, the width is just prohibitive. Even newer half tons are just unusable in a lot of places I like to get back to in my older trucks. Sweet truck though.

I agree about the fender flares. To me, color matched fender flares always looks better imo. These big black ones look like a cheap afterthought on a very expensive vehicle.

The driver’s seat back motor in my 2005 Outback XT manual limited trim is dead and I have that to fix along with the sunroof drain and motor. I do wish my seats were manual and I didn’t have a sunroof as I rarely open the shade much less the roof.

I think if those fenders just met up straight with the body, it would look better. The fact that it kind of sweeps up before it hits the body makes it look bulbous.

Roman (and Andre) habitually say "of course" frequently about things that are a given and things that aren't even known, but as he's cycling through the gauge displays he says: "engine temperature, oil temperature, cylinder head temperature, power distribution and then of course...I uh, I don't know what that one is." LOL But of course!
