I used to be OBSESSED with Lockwood & Co - my school did the Hampshire Book Award when I was younger and it won the year I participated, so I got the chance to meet Jonathan Stroud & get signed copies - so I'm glad others get the chance to get introduced to his series!

Marissa Meyer also write two other book series and they’re both fantastic! The Lunar Chronicles is a series of futuristic sci fi fairy tale retellings, and the Renegades trilogy is a superhero story with double agents, betrayal, treachery and love and it’s amazing!!

Also the show is amazing to watch after reading the book because they did such a stellar job with capturing the vibe and world building of the book! OK LOVE U

In case you are looking for more ideas for future videos on your main channel, I would love to see you explore Francophone literature, as it would give you a great look into the Francophone world, which will help you in your French language studying (even if you read these books in English; after all, culture affects the way we think and communicate, so reading these in English could help you better understand why things are expressed the way they are in French). Plus, Francophone literature is super diverse: Québécois, Francophone Indigenous, Acadian, St. Pierre et Miquelonian, Fransaskois/Franco-Ontarian (among other isolated provincial communities in Canada), Cajun, Caribbean, Maghrebian, central/west African, Metropolitan French, Alsatian, Swiss, Belgian, French Polynesian, islanders in the Indian Ocean, immigrants/refugees, the list goes on... Tons of interesting stories from different perspectives, histories, etc.

I absolutely LOVE the lockwood & co show!!!!! highly recommend it to everyone!!! let's hope for a season two renewal!!!! I know many also loved the books and found the show great as well. I've only read the first book so far and had a nice time with it though I do believe it's become slightly outdated imo. (I have heard the series gets better!) Between the two, I suggest watching the show instead if I'm being completely honest, if not feeling super inspired to read the books as well. (though best case scenario would be if the show could get renewed and eventually introduce us to later characters of the books, I'd be very excited for that!!)

Very curious story, and I'm enjoying it! Just ordered "Good Omens" too! Looking forward to that one! Also just finished reading "The Fountains Of Paradise" by Arthur C. Clarke, which "Counterweight" sounds a lot like, before it gets into the detective angle.
