@@HoloScope For most people getting good grades is like 95% effort. Most can’t just take a class and pass on pure intelligence. I would imagine you could get above a 3.0 if you completed all your required assignments and took some time to study before tests.

I'm Filipino and apparently there are two types of people in the Philippines from different sides of the country. To be fair I got a 33 on my ACT (top 2% of the nation) and have been getting c’s and b’s for the last few years. I took AP physics and AP calc and was easily one of the smartest in the room (this was according to the teachers). I never did any homework yet I got A’s and high B’s on every test. Only reason I didn’t fail was because AP calc had weighted grading so tests were 80% of our grade and AP phys the teacher said if we ace our semester test we would get an auto A.

This is not true. I skipped many many many days in HS. Graduated with a 3.6 and did REALLY BAD ON THE SAT. Then I went to a bad college, did well, transferred to a good college. Graduated Summa Cum Laude at Fordham University last month!

What does this even mean? Everyone who goes to college has to pay. If you mean pay out of pocket (no loans or grants) only a very small portion of the population would be eligible. It would not benefit schools to make these restrictions, there would be so few students that they wouldn't make money. And at the end of the day, the school doesn't care where the money comes from (grant from the government, loan from a bank) so long as they get it. I don't know who is giving you this information but it sounds like they're full of shit
