Introduction Speech Scene :
Scene where Sir Ulrich Von Liechtenstein (Heath Ledger) first encountered Count Adhemar (Rufus Sewell) and it was rude. I love the quote from Sir Hunter (Heath Ledger) to Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon), "perhaps angels have no names, only beautiful faces."
Then the mind-blowing speech from Geoffrey Chaucer (Paul Bettany) introducing Sir Ulrich Von Liechtenstein. Jerusalem, Italy, Greece, Whisper!
Later, the Joust between Sir Ulrich Von Liechtenstein and Sir Thomas Colville. and to Count Adhemar, "Mercy is weakness."

@@christophermccarthy884 I’m British so yes I have heard of Geoffrey Chaucer, writer of The Canterbury Tales, the father of English poetry. First person to be buried in what’s known as Poets Corner in Westminster Abbey. Paul also played The Vision The Avengers series of films. Not to be confused with John Steed’s Avengers….

When I was young- in the early 2000s, I had an extremely difficult time public speaking. It was debilitating for me. This scene- that I practiced for ages, helped me find my voice- and gave me such confidence- I was able to perform speeches in public. I cannot thank this movie enough for this scene. And of course, Paul Bettany.

@@theengine Paul insisted others be present to allow for them to grow their careers as well. This movie was originally 120 minutes of Paul acting opposite himself; a crowd of Paul Bettanies responding to Chaucer's Tales, Paul asking himself if he saw him take the hit, Paul dissing himself as being the son of a thatcher that was played by him, etc. You get the idea.

Paul Bettany's performance was terrific but there is no stealing this movie from Heath Ledger. He did phenomenal as the lead actor.
