I grew up in an orphanage too. I am from Trinidad.. I left the Home at 16yrs with no preparation. I gave my heart and life to Jesus at the age of 17yrs and that decision changed the direction of my life. Today I am a Fire Officer, married with two beautiful children. I too desire to assisr in helping children to transition into society. Many of my childhood friends either died, became vagrants, were abused etc. Others who were helped by wellmeaning families made it like me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves orphans. I pray before I die that He can use me to help others who grew up like me...thank you for your story...you are my sisters for we have jouneyed the same road. Blessings.

It's a silent killer I promise you. I lost myself 29 years ago when I was 13years that I can recall being me. The current person isn't who I can genuinely be happy and love. Everything is like forced hence life goes on. I thought having kids will change that but instead it's an escape goat just to make sure their lives can never be like my childhood traumas.

I often have to prepare myself mentally before watching such stories because of triggers but I can never allow myself to not listen. I appreciate that this show gives survivors a chance to tell their story to us who believe them.

Very interesting and touching at the same time. Interesting because I am hoping that my daughter will be grateful that we have adopted her. She still doesn't know that she's been adopted and we don't want to disrupt her life especially emotionally. The way they these ladies are sooo grateful about their lives at the homes .

Personally as a founder of NGO, I’ve been doing charity work for the past 20years. The programs includes orphaned kids & teen pregnancy prevention and Teen Mothers support. What’s their sharing is very touching and I pray many NGO’s / Orphanage Centre care givers can have heart and do this passionately with love 💕 These kids never chose to be there! Life just happened 😭 Sending love and prayers to these beautiful girls and I’m so sorry you went through such trauma! I took note of their suggestions

These stories are heartbreaking, my childhood was hard when you grow you have to be willing to take off all the heartbreak layers to feel content. It feel like you have to unlearn and learn new way of living then I have find myself grateful for the how I grow up because if I didn't go through those tough I wouldn't be so keen to open myself to learn and discover so much to be content and peaceful. Life is full of prosperity and joy ahead of you. All your heartbreak and tears God will wipe them away, joy is possible after pain. Someone said something that stayed in my heart that parents they also discovering who they are so be patient with your mom I know you will learn to love when she is not on gallen level as when you are because if you keep expecting to receive love the way you know you will be frustrated all your life said well by Pastor T.D Jakes. My therapist said sometimes mother's love you can get it from any mother who show love but you have to open your heart to fulfill that gap. Wishing you both life full prosperity and joy.

An orphanage provides a safe place but the downer is that one always falls back into the system, Im married with 4 kids, I went through a depressive episode and failed to survive in the real world, resigned from work (permanent teaching post) and found my self at a shelter with my three kids, struggled to adjust to life at a shelter still yoh I feel like I can't fit at any society now. Constantly want to move. Adjustment is a big issue shame

These session are really doing the Lord's work. As far as awareness, challenging beliefs or ideas about topics that people have limited knowledge about. Providing a safe space for people to be vulnerable and tell their stories. The interviewer, is so authentic. Asks the right questions. The difficult questions, but does so respectfully and empathetically. You are really in your element here, Relebogile.❤
