This had me check and, holy shit, I have to say I haven't seen a first level last this long for something other than like a super story-heavy game in a _long_ fucking time. Although Jerma being Jerma, and this game being based on a _long ass_ trilogy of novels, means that it was to be expected.

My favorite part of Fellowship of the Ring was definitely the part were Frodo gets violently mauled to death by a pack of wolves, I can't tell you how disappointed I was when Peter Jackson left it out of the movies kinda ruins the whole franchise in my opinion

This video made me remember playing this game when I was 2 or 3. It brought back the hopeless, crushing depression that smashed my joy like the tree smashed jerma. I can still remember the taste of my excitement turned into the bitter realization that this game was unplayable and was the only game I would have for months. Every day i would try to leave the shire. Every day i would fail, the invisible walls suffocating my soul. Since then, I've always had the lowest expectations of life. Thank you for bringing me this deeply repressed trauma from the core of my being. It's nice to know where my childhood went wrong exactly.

@@Soulraven2735 Sounds like they lost the licensing, same reason it wasn't listed on Steam for a while They gave away keys on new years for free like two years ago, probably because their licensing was gonna expire. I forgot to redeem it, and it was taken off the store, so I never got to play it :( But yeah that's from what I heard. Maybe wasn't as successful as they'd hoped, or the franchise didn't like the games they made, or something as dumb as they just didn't renew it for whatever reason

I actually used to play this back when I was younger, even beat it in its entirety. I wouldn't call it fun as a game, but as an experience it was hilarious. There's a level where you have to escort Frodo as Aragorn, and while there's no friendly fire you can fill Frodo's head FULL of arrows. Literally spent hours doing that, I was an easily entertained child.
@Lucifronz Жыл бұрын
Child me had an obsession with very specific shit. Like transformation gimmicks in games. Druids in WoW, Alex Mercer in Prototype, etc. Now that I'm older, I don't hate those things (not a druid player, really, but I still like the concept and I love Prototype), but I don't fully understand why I enjoyed them as much as I used to.
