I think this has...several meanings. Being an ex addict myself (clean 21 years), I know sometimes my addiction would “talk” to me in the same manner as this song did. It was so hard to ignore the pull for that 💉. An excellent reaction to one of Em’s best tracks.

Relapse: Refill. Had the best songs from the album and they were bonus tracks. People hate on the content but the rhyme schemes in relapse are by far some of his best. Honestly my favorite album of his lyrically and i love the content as well. Its like listening to a horror movie.

Deep ass song. It's either Eminem vs. Slim Shady like you said. Or Shady vs. the Devil. But, I think it's actually Marshal Mathers himself vs. His Drug Addiction. I thought the poster was a reference to the album cover. Where you can see Eminem's face, but it's only visible via a collage prescription and non-prescription pills. That's why it says, "Isn't that us on that poster?" Plus, it references Eminem's childhood and his parenthood. Ironically, both were times when pills were present in his life. Just speculation; but a deep as song none the less. Can you do DEJA VU by Eminem next?

Zachary Eikanger nah the devil voice is the drugs trying to take him back. The drug voice said " Isn't that us on that poster" referring to relapse cover which is eminems face in pills. The voice also gets Dre on the phone saying that drugs will bring his career back. He's not fighting the devil, he's fighting his addiction in his head. Another reference is "no one loves u like I do" drugs make people feel euphoric and quitting them is very difficult bc ur letting so,etching go that u can't get enough of. This song deep asl

On the slim shady ep intro, shady (the dark alter ego) takes control of eminem. He supposedly kills off shady in “when I’m gone” which came out in 05. Then in dr west (relapse intro) shady comes back to possess Eminem. That’s why it’s called relapse. He falls back into the shady persona and the album is pretty much the slim shady lp 2. This song was recorded at a time when Eminem was considering retiring so he doesn’t want shady to keep him in the rap game.
