I agree Cindy. I have a whole cabinet of mugs and none of them match. They were all gifts to me and every morning when I take one out for the day, it reminds me of the person that gave it to me. I really do remember every one. :-) It's a happy thing for me.

OMG I feel your pain, when we moved to FL, I had to bring so many docs because of marriage, name change, SS card, proof of residency docs. Proof of car insurance, and they actually had to come out to the parking lot to check the Vin # on my car. Crazy stuff just to get a FL driver's license and car tag.

If it's any consolation, no one ever has a good experience at the DMV. I've never heard anyone say "wow, that was easy!".

I hate the dmv. When I had to renew my license last time it took me 3 days and 3 times waiting in line to have all the right stuff! It was aggravating!!!!

Danni you have such an amazing son! He is such a kind heart & good spirit! I would have been in tears also when thinking our babies are not being treated right. Give him a big hug for me. I was not blessed with a son, but I would have wanted a son just like Noah & I know my daughter would want aa brother like him. Hang in there Mom the best is yet to come!

Speaking as someone who formerly worked for the Region VI Office, based in Dallas TX, of the Social Security Administration, the ONLY way to be issued a Social Security NUMBER is to be issued a Social Security CARD! There must have been a card issued in your past that you received but have forgotten about. I wish you speed and luck in getting Noah’s replacement for his SS card. Noah’s attitude always a healthy one!

Awww...hugs to you both. Noah did seem to handle the situation well. He's a good kid. It's just life...things happen, but I KNOW what little consolation that can be sometimes. I am going thru something myself this week and want to crawl under a rock, but this too will pass. There's always shopping, right? Even better if you have yourself a Kari to go with. We all need a Kari.

I am 80 and still have my original Soc. Sec. card and it says " not to be used for identification purposes," Wonder when they changed that rule?🇺🇲💕

We got SS cards for our kids shortly after they were born, they were needed for us to claim them as dependents on our taxes and before our kids got their first jobs they had to present their SS for their federal and state paperwork - maybe it's different state to state

My family went camping all the time when I was a kid, and we had a couple of those coffee pots - or percolators as they said. They were made for camping and could be used directly over the fire. Those old food containers were very handy when camping, also.

As a mom, I wanted to reach out and hug you. I saw the tears you were holding back. I know how much it sucks when we can't make everything perfect for out children. Noah is such a great kid. Just take a deep breath and go apply for his Social Security Card. It will take a while longer but his dream of racing is still gonna happen. Keeping ya'll in my prayers. Wow, great lamps. You can use some of them in your new house. That gold soap dispenser I used one just like that for my dish liquid. I have that green devil egg dish. I use it every party.

I’m so glad you saved the old glass bowl in the beginning. I like it too. The lamps are beautiful. Glad you found the other ivy lamp. I really was surprised when you said you hadn’t noticed it!! Hope Rachel likes what you got her. I’m always telling my kids that same phrase Those entangled pigs were up to no good. Think they were makin bacon! I’m so sorry about how things turned out for Noah today. He is such a nice kid. Mine were issued their SS cards right after they were born. Yes, they need a social security card in order to give what they call is a "real id." And they won't accept the card if it has been laminated either!

And how your name is documented on your birth certificate will trump other legal documents so remember you can change your BC first if you need to.

Great goodies, and life lessons! Same happened to one of my sons- we were short a document. Great pivot Noah💪🏻 and Danni, of course in the middle of everything else going on, it felt like a huge WOMP WOMP. But let’s imagine something bad could have happened, and instead you were postponed for a reason. Maybe Noah will get a better drive instructor than he would have! So sorry about the permit incident. It's frustrating when one little thing causes something not to get done. Noah, you have the best attitude. Take a breath, get what you need and go back. When there's nothing that can be done, you're good to roll with it. No sense getting upset, it just doesn't do any good. Not too much longer and you'll " get permit done". I have two of the gold flake bathroom accessories sets. Bought them in 2010 from BB&B. I still like and use them. Sorry you had a stressful day. You are loved! And Noah will be fine as he has wonderful support from you.

I went on their web-site when I needed to replace my lost license and they had all the info on what is required, along with other services. I hope things get better soon for you Dani and Noah 💐

It says online a ss card is required. They don't want people getting permits/licenses in other people's names. It's for everyone's identity protection.

My 18 year old just went through all the DMV stuff. Permit test, pernit, road test. We fine tooth combed the instructuons and even brought extra things! Then he bought a truck; went through the insure, register, inspect process... And the truck blew a rod less than a month later! His grandparents chipped in and we got a new motor in it....WHEW! Noah has a good attitude! Better than I had during all that stress-mess!

Oh do I understand your frustration. I am 81 years old. I have had a drivers license since I was 18. As my eyes are not quite what they used to be I no longer drive so instead of just giving me an identity card they require a birth certificate and everything I used to get my original license. Noah is a champion.

Re 18+ minute mark: Hudson’s was a department store in Detroit in the 1950’s. My parents used to take us there Christmas time to see all the decorations in the store and shop.

I loved Hudson’s. Loved downtown Hudson’s!! Didn’t they have like 14 floors? It was just minutes from my grandparents home. Remember Maurice Salads? The ice cream clowns and mice? Definitely nostalgic memories

You should have gotten his Soc card when he was born probably 2-3weeks later in the mail. Just a thought maybe you do have it just forgot it. My daughter was born overseas in Japan we had all her paperwork but wouldn’t take her birth certificate even though she was born on a military base we had gotten another paper right after she was born saying she was a U.S. citizen but I had totally forgotten it 16 yrs later but we kept all the papers and lucky us we found it.

Cyd in MD. You said you like to learn things. Here goes. At video time approx. 32:35ish you make note of two tall glass pieces. I bought mine over 30 years ago. They are vintage clear glass shelf supports as were used in old time pharmacy shops. There are examples online. I see they are now asking more than double what I paid for mine.
