I’m always blown away by ur work girl Fr I’m a natural hair girl and havnt straightened my hair in almost a year now. My natural hair journey has been amazing my hair has never been this healthy before and for the first time in forever I can literally say I love my hair, but I wanna do a length check and promised myself that I wouldn’t straighten it unless it’s done by Theee stylist!! Beautiful hair! How often do you straighten her hair a month or recommend silk presses a month wihout damaging curl pattern?

It's all about using a good heat protectant, doing a good job at blow drying and trying not to go over the hair more than once with the flat iron.

My ONLY dislike about your services is that you trim BEFORE straighten hair natural hair. That is a disservice which forces you to cut again because the cut/trim had not chance to be precise by doing it that way.

There’s reasons why I do a trim before and after. It really just depends on how I feel and what the clients hair looks like. If I trim before that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m cutting off to much. I can see what still needs to be cut even after that first cut. If I flat iron first then cut, that’s works too. Some ppl end up cutting more than what’s needs to be cut when it’s flatiron. So it really depends on the stylist. Either way I’m always conscious of how much to cut while also explaining to my clients how much I’m cutting and why. The first cut in most cases isn’t the final cut , whether you cut/trim before or after. Thanks for your view and comment @lashonda ! Your support is appreciated

I think it’s a more precise way of trimming. I prefer it before and after like she does because the hair is not super straight before styling, so you can see all the breakage and split ends. When the hair is super pressed from flat ironing, and then the stylist does the trim after, they may not be getting all of the damaged ends, unless they are planning on taking a lot off anyway.
