It’s been 7 months since I quit my job for full time KZfaq. I struggle the most with that feeling of what am I doing at 24 without a stable direction. Also the discussion about not getting little things, I haven’t bought anything non essential this whole time and it’s starting to get really unenjoyable. That peace of mind is important, glad you have been able to find that. Thank you for your honesty

I love that you're doing youtube full time - that's really awesome! 7 months is pretty far as well. Hopefully for both of us, more $ can start coming in from content creation so buying ourselves the little things is not such a big deal.

@@camspocketdiary absolutely! I look forward to seeing more of your journey. I will also mention you do a good job of recommending products without it feeling sales oriented. It’s something I have been very hesitant of doing on my channel but also cognizant that it’s how we make money. Just wanted to mention that!

@@DamonCassidy That means a lot! I wouldnt want anyone to think they need to buy something because of something I say. It's all reccomendation. But yes, as a content creator (big or small) it's one way to get paid so we can continue doing what we love to do. :)

I was laid off in October of last year 2023. The job market is really hard right now. I'm still applying for jobs, but nothing. Keeping you in my prayers.

I am in the same situation as you! I am 26 as well and also quit my 9 - 5 in November and tried making some money by doing my own thing, but honestly the last few months have been so stressful. I am also looking for another job, preferably remote and I had an interview yesterday but unfortunately didn't make it through to the next round. Just continually praying that I will get something soon.

I'm praying for you too!! Our stories sound super similar. It's honestly so difficult out there, the last couple months have been so stressful fo rme too. But you got this. Challenges like this make us who we are. I'm sure you will find something soon, even if it's just for the meantime.

Good for you! At the end of the day you took the risk and tried entrepreneurship for 3 months and got a break from the 9 to 5 routine. You did what I’m scared to do and that’s “leave my job”. I realize how hard it is to get another job especially with just a bachelors degree so for now I am here at my 9 to 5 job and although I’m not very passionate about my job I’m grateful to have a job but will be starting to work on my side hustles on the side and hoping to turn it from a hobby to a full time career

I totally get you. And the longer you’re at a job the more “scary” it is to leave because we’re so used to the security it gives us. It’s good to be grateful to have a job but same here, I need to continue with my side hustles too! I wish you all the luck with whatever you start in 2024 🤍 thank you for watching !

Props to you for giving it a chance and trying. I'm a Software Developer and entrepreneur. I was super depressed at my Jr. Developer job and quit my job to build my own software business. Even though I built the web app, mobile app, and backend API, I struggled to get people to use it. So now I'm making online courses teaching people how to code while applying to get back into the workforce. The job market is really bad right now for tech. I'm 27 and happy that I gave it a chance and have my own app in the App Store and Google Play Store even though no one uses it. I'm hard working and very much believe that I will eventually become successful. Keep creating content and getting better at editing, thumbnails, and studying the KZfaq platform from other creators. I subscribed and wish you well. Your dreams are not impossible and can come true with consistent effort over time.

I can totally relate on how tough the job market is... I also quit my job as a manager 4 months ago.. And dispute applying for new roles that you feel like you are qualified for companies do not get back to you. Its honestly draining to not receive feedback. I'm glad you found another job. Congratulations 🎉🎉

I also quit my job last year it was a toxic environment. I quit in December and i had started a KZfaq channel in March to be my fall back plan. Now i am 3 months since i quit.i can say it is hard to live without a paycheck. Also i have discovered that growing a KZfaq channel is hard as i am still at 97 subscribers. Hope it gets better soon for giving up is not an option.

Thank you for sharing! This is a side of things people never seem to talk about, but it's probably more common than we think. Happy to hear that you got a new job! I'm currently looking for a fully remote job as well, but it's not that many jobs like that in Norway. I'm also trying to get more income sources in general, to see if that eventually can replace my 9-5 corporate job. Wishing you the best of luck. Excited to follow along and see where life takes you 🩷

I'm in a similar boat, having quit in December. But I really needed the last 2 months to regain some of that energy that I've lost, and to find back to my own rhythm. I've now started a new job this week, which is just a handful of hours so I'll be looking for a second part time job, and want to start my own business on the side. Burnout is real, and I find it super difficult to deal with, but I think I'm getting there. Good luck on your ventures!

I'm in a similar boat! I got laid off a month ago and I'm starting a company now (launching the product in a couple weeks!). It's not that I'm not doing 9-5 again ever, and I actually see a world where I get a job like the one you're describing. For now, I'm self-employed (unemployed basically, LOL) but I could see that changing in 6-12 months

Hey girl, omg thanks for your comment! it’s def unfortunate to be involved in layoffs but that’s so great you’re trying some things out for yourself !! I also used ‘self-employed’ and unemployed interchangeably these last few months LOL. Let’s see how my new gig works because even the ones we think will be easy and brainless don’t end up being this way either!!

Great video and thank you for sharing your experience. I think quitting your job should be the last resort and I think a lot of people quit before trying to work through their issues, setting good boundaries at work and then get surprised how difficult it is to get a new job, especially when after layoffs the employee pool has increased a lot and competition is really high. What I see a lot is that people quit their 9-5 and pursue content creation, but even that sector has its limits and is highly saturated already.

No worries dear, you can start to build up your dividend portfolio once you found new opportunity. For my case, I already started working part time as Life Guard and event staff before I quit my 9-5. So Financially I’m still okay even I left 2 years, and never look back to desk bound job 😊

I to quit my job without a plan before it started sprouting up on you tube. I didn't realize there were so many people that felt the way I did. Felt pressure to find something before jumping ship. I needed time. Still need more time. I think entrepreneurship is the way for me personally long term. Yes, it is hard right now but I think it will change. Hope you get back at it soon.

I’m so opposite to you haha. I got laid off recently so quitting wasn’t my choice and it’s only been two weeks and i literally feel like it’s only been 5 minutes…. I enjoy being unemployed so much because i love my free time, so the time goes by fast because I’m having too much fun 😢 i love having nowhere to be. Hope my unemployment kicks in soon because I’m out of money but the time is still flying by so fast. Versus it goes by so slow when I’m working because I hate work.

Yeah I can totally relate to you as well. Sometimes it does feel fast. Even though it's less money I enjoy the unemployment a lot too - it's hard going back after having all the free time for yourself. I'm going to keep trying different things to see how I can work for myself for good one day! Thanks for watching :)
