Maybe another way of explaining it is It’s like you’re making a vest/jacket out of faux fur for the armature! Then instead of buttons you sew it up

absolutely love the details on this horse! i also like your decision to make them a pure white instead of a grey (white w/ a dark nose, eyes, and feet). the veins on the face, the pale eyes, the way the ears are gently perked forward in interest, it's perfect! the tail base looked a little wide-i wonder if extending some of the armature wire and wrapping the tail weft around the base would give it that tail bone look? something to consider, you're the expert :] all in all, super well done, it makes my rider self happy!

Thank you so much!! I completely forgot to add a tail armature so I left the tail more free falling. It’s a balance of length and width and also trying to add those back legs since they came out a bit too thick 😆☺️

Well I’m sorry but real horse feet SHOULD be bigger, but selection of breeding was a vary bad problem, not going at anyone mean, but I would like for people to know the feet were a bit of, for the future make horses feet wider and bigger to support the body, disclaimer I was not going at the KZfaq channel or the creator, BUT I was making a point that horses NEED bigger feet the breeders thought, so now it’s easier for them to break there legs, sorry this was not meant to be so long, thanks, and I’m sorry if this bothered anyone. Beautiful art piece either way!

@@macies_side6907 Good point, but I think bigger feet here may have looked disproportionate (in my opinion) and may have resulted in an unbalanced work. Of course, this is just me going off of my own experience. Horses do, indeed, have large feet, but they are proportionate to the body. And, as you mentioned, selective breeding has made horse feet smaller. So, it's not too unrealistic to have smaller feet. (Not getting into the injuries and such, that's a different topic for a different setting.)

I KNEW IT!!! I'm in love with the sheer detail on that sculpt, and yesss the chaaiinnsss... I think it's something to do with tiny things or different textures, but adding accessories to art dolls is seriously one of the best parts! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone use that sculpt programme before it’s amazing how much control and detail you get using it. The unicorn looks so magical, I love the hair and the chains were definitely necessary, it looks incredible.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the encouragement you give out in your videos! I've been going through some kind of existential crisis. When I was much younger, I was a total artist. I could draw and sculpt. I loved sculpting. I did it effortlessly and enjoyed spending time doing it! But life kind of beat the artist out of me. I needed that intermission 😅, been avoiding a resin figure kit and I'm slowly getting my ideas together but still holding back on making it. After the exams I'll dive into making her, will be a new challenge cos the resin is different from the bjd's so lots of prep for her on skin tone and such. But I'll start on her hair 1st, really excited now to start finally on her lol.

Truthfully, I'm not sure if you having all the colors of the yarn rainbow would have had the same effect as the airbrushed stuff. I'd be curious to see if you could create the same look doing it that way. Something to think about.

There is a version of ZBrush out there that is free! It doesn’t have as much features as the full priced version does but it still functions pretty well! ^^

i can't wait for my big fat dragon sculpture that im making ahh its gonna be great and i highly doubt i'm gonna be able to keep the head up completely random and off topic but there is a dead bird on our deck and a smear and a tiny feather on the window where it apparently slapped into it so hard that it died- thats so sad :(

Last year, me and my parents were driving around a parking lot. As we were driving, we saw a hawk eating a dead seagull. It looked so disgusting 🤮

Love the use of 3d printing and digital sculpting, I'm working on a doll with a printed head, hands and feet right now, still sculpting, because I'm slow and still learning blender.
