Not much honestly. Depends on how small or big and your location. E.g 100 chicks can = 100$ plus land rental Thier food etc

500 k.. is enough going g by how many do want to start with.. start small learn enough and grow avoiding the poultry farming potholes.. build a small coop coop of about 100 in an area you can sideways expand.. keep a reserve for feeds.. listen mor from experts... look for most available materials including old mabati to start up.taje care where you buy from.. don't cheated seek knowledge.. make references and consultation.
