For the pets a diluted Dawn solution can be used more often and is very effective backed up with spraying the area with alcohol

I learned years ago you have to vacuum everything after you bomb.

You need to get rid of the foam mattress it's been fogged so many times. Pull everything out clean out door Cubby's get rid of those paper towels the edges have been in touch with chemicals. It needs a great big scrubbing before you replace anything front seats needs cleaning those eggs hide very well. Don't half do this or you will be in the same mess in days. Now think about how not to get them again when u go back to the property

SERESTO flea & tick collars have been recalled because many dogs have reacted and even died. Gotta research these chemicals for our pets. Don't want anything to happen to Miss Bella. :)

I stained/sealed my wood floors....use some small area rugs I can pull out to clean or replace...love it.

For the floor, I would try vinyl in the back & entryway and carpet / area rug in main area. Good luck.

I always powdered where my animals bedded with a half and half mixture of sulfur and damacous earth. Goats, dogs hogs and cattle on their backs helped deter all kinds of bugs with no ill effects to the animals. Boric acid around exterior walls to keep roaches away also sold as Roach proof. Old hand down reamidies that worked.

Industrial carpet squares, heavy rubber backing, fits like puzzle, very low pile so bugs won’t be a problem, also if spills happen you pull the one piece hose it off add put back. Works great in my truck camper (I have two dogs and a cat).

Keep using the flea light trap as you go to be sure you got rid of them.

I told you how to get rid of them, maybe listen to others that know more. Thats how you learn, Permethrin sfr 36.8, the stuff you used is consumer grade, not good enough. The stuff you bought does have a small amount of permethrin so it should work. I would recommend you get what I said you mix it yourself and you can also spray your campsites, the bugs will be gone in minutes.

Dave if you're talking about Seresto, please do a search on it causing deaths in cats & dogs, 100,000 neurological problems & over 3,000 deaths!!! I used it on my sister's dog & she died less that 2 months after using it. The vet said it was from the one chemical that they use in it, he said he would not recommend them for any of his patients. My neighbor also lost his dog after using one on his lab! I know there had been many comments in here about how great they are but please just do a research on their recall & what the EPA has done & not done about them before you use it on sweet Bella.

Where i go to this gym here in phoenix , The flooring is a really tough foam or rubber material that comes in sheets that interlock. In a gym setting it has to be tough stuff. That way its not carpet but would stop things from sliding around while driving. It would also cut down on road noise.

Every time I watch a video of you doing something with the van that shows the interior I go to FB Marketplace to see if there are any decent Ford or Chevy vans with swinging side doors for sale. The flea issue, which we deal with all year here in Hawaii, is that the eggs aren't killed by the nerve gas, it has to be repeated and as others have said you must vacuum up whatever you can after each bombing.

Your bedding and all fabric things will have to be washed, along with a full wipe down of all appliances. A flea can jump onto you, or your dog and multiply from there. I give my dog monthly a flea and heartworm pill, and wash her with Dawn and rinse down with vinegar. Florida has tiny little sand fleas and sand is EVERYWHERE.

I actually saw some jumping! I think the indoor/outdoor carpet at Lowe's and Home Depot would be perfect.

We’ve had laminate flooring in our van for years. Durable and easy to wipe clean. We do need to put rubber carpet pads under the cat box do it doesn’t slide as easily.

I know a guy who lived in his van who picked up roaches,(Florida he thinks). He bombed it 4 different times. Using 2 foggers at once and closing up his van. As far as I kno, he never got rid of them. When he set foggers off, roaches came out from behind door panels, headliner,...everywhere. I never seen anything like it. 🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳😫 every time he thought he got em all, they would come back with a vengence.

Hey Dave, maybe try some of those foam puzzle piece tiles. They have them om Amazon in all kinds of colors. Might make the floor softer without carpet for the fleas. Also one thing i do for my dogs, I have two, is get the pill from the vet. It takes the worry away for my boys to never have fleas, ticks, or heart worms. I tried a lot of things but in the end the pill works the best and i live in Louisiana, so that's really saying something. Good luck, love to sit around a campfire with you someday

Very frustrating. I rented an RV once that had a set of curtains folded up that were soaked with fleas. I pulled it out as soon as I realized it. Thank goodness I caught it early or it would have spread to the entire inside of the RV. Hope you get this licked for good. The bedding, mattress, and curtains probably need treated as well. Hope the mattress didn't get ruined.

I had a problem with fleas in my basement horrible. My friend told me to sprinkle floor with borax powder than vacuum it up. It weighed the fleas down they couldnt jump. It worked. Thank God

OMGOSH that is crazy - Dave you are so correct - that fogger does not work whatsoever. That fogger is made for an area 6 times larger than the van. Everything has to be pulled out and disinfectived and don't forget they are living in everything like your tool kit. HOLLY SMOKES.... Now if you go back up to the property they are just going to jump back on poor Bella and back into the van and you will have to spray your pant legs and shoes with off before walking on that property every day so you don't bring them in the van. I've never seen anything like that. Those are like Super Fleas.....

We just went camping last weekend and came back with fleas. I just did 5 loads of laundry today washing all the house blankets and bedding. The dog got a good bath too. I also went to Lowe’s today and saw some washable area rugs, almost got one for myself.

I would get a rubber mat and just use a small piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting in the "living area. The mat would keep things from sliding & the carpet could easily be cleaned or replaced as needed.

Yes, thank you for asking Dave, so happy to see that grass go Lol, sorry it was because of fleas though. We really like our peel and stick vinyl planks, they can be applied directly to the plywood, just make sure there's no dirt where you apply. They're easy to trim to fit, too & a dream to clean, just sweep and lightly mop when needed.

We were visiting Puerto Rico no AC, went to bed, something biting our legs, got up turnedon light, pulled sheets back they were in sheets.

You may need to machine hotwash all your clothes too. That fogger does not work. Get rid of carpet altogether, and get some tablets in food for flea prevention for Bella and maybe shampoo her too, perhaps? You have long hair, so that would need attention too. Stay safe

IF it were my flea battle, I’d remove the memory foam & thoroughly clean all sides of it again, along with the cab surfaces & floor carpet in the cab. Again, only if it were my situation, I’d also wait a few months before putting any rugs in the van.

Dave…flea collars REALLY don’t work! Get Nexgard! It’s a soft chew and works great! I would stick it in a piece of hot dog or cheese.

Dave, I was one advised you to use Precor. I used the concentrate, it used to be in a little brown bottle. I saw the aerosol you bought on Amazon. I haven't used it before. I hope it works for you, I KNOW the concentrate works. Also you have to think about adults jumping out of there and being in the grass. You have to treat this like a contagion. If they escape and get in your grass, bella and you both will be carrying them in the Coachman. Blowing them out with the air gun is probably the worst thing you can do. If they do get in the grass, Precor has a large bottle concentrate, but it's not cheap. Pros use this stuff. All of it is used with a pump sprayer. Good luck pal. Fleas are the worse! Now anytime you feel something you will think it is a flea. It can drive you nuts.

The flea problem is crazy! It's been years ago, but I've had one flea infestation and it was a pain, but not nearly as hard to extract as your having!

Use gym neoprene squares. They are a half inch thick and in squares that lock together. Just a thought.

I don’t know if you have them there , but I found a store named BIG LOTS , that usually has carpet in smaller pieces . It is a discount store that carries a lot of different things from food to furniture to household things .

Dave you might try an ozone generator. You and Bella can’t be in the van of course….and you wouldn’t want to be 😱….but research that for killing fleas. Says it kills, fleas, bed bugs, mosquitos, biting gnats, etc. might be something to try.

Flees are under the ply for sure. Too bad they got you and Bella.

There is a medication that the vets have for pets so they don’t get fleas or tics. What about the seats,might any have got in them? It’s supposed to be a horrendous year for bugs, especially here because we’re having hot humid weather. Good luck with the new products. 🥰🙋🏼‍♀️ ( at least they aren’t crabs😂🤣😂)

Home depot has that indoor/outdoor carpet fairly reasonable and for some reason, bugs don't seem to like it.

Congrat's for finally throwing away that carpet. I wouldn't put any more carpet in the Van until winter. Just use rubber matts for now. Also I would throw out that foam bed just buy a new one.

Yeah that was the name precor. I had recommended a growth regulator I couldn't remember what it was called. It literally takes about a month Relentless Pursuits even with Precor. If you Google how many fleas a female can produce an eggs and a given period of time it is mind-boggling . The only thing I didn't mention what is treating the area the dog goes into. The process starts with a dog the living area and the yard crawling them outwards

You need permethrin spray for fleas and ticks. Amazon has it. Foam pad that looks like puzzle pieces.

Dave screwed up dragging the carpet onto the ground, flees will infest the yard. I would have left the carpet in the van and hauled it to the dump. Now take a2 gallon garden sprayer put a half quart of Kerosene in then fill with water and spray everything, I use this when I had dogs and now my son does the same.

I think I’d have that mattress outside in the hot sun. To freshen up and deter the fleas staying on it. Wrapping it in black plastic would help bake them and any other critters. Sprinkle plenty of Food Grade diatomaceous earth, and leave some capfuls about the inside also. Food grade is said to be safe for humans and pets. 🤷‍♀️

Be careful when you're vacuuming that you're exhaust is outside the van I borrowed a vacuum from my sister once I did not have a dog or cat or anything but I got polluted with fleas because it came from the sweeper vacuum

I used Interceptor on my border collies and had great results for years. Flea tick collars just do the general neck area, not the lower abdomen. Pretty worthless in my opinion. I feel your pain. Cheers

Since carpet is a bad idea, and you don't like hard floors, what about a thin, soft rubber floor? Maybe something with sticky on one side and you could just put it in the used areas.

Be aware if you have a spark while you are overdosing that van you will blow it up. The propellant is highly flammable. You've seen the WD-40 videos same thing

Get those long plastic gloves that go all the way up your arms. Then put the carpet directly into a plastic garbage bag inside the van. Seal it up. Take the bag way away from the garage or Coachman. Wash all bedding.

My aunt and uncle had an inside cat that they let out on their porch. She got fleas so they bought a flea collar. But instead of having her wear it, they snuck it under her little towel where she would nap. When she would get up from her nap, there would be a load of dead buggets on the towel. This was many years ago before the advanced collars and pour on stuff.

You need to wash all bedding, clean up dishes, water bottle, pillows in dryer

Get rid of anything soft! Including paper towels. Treat seats too.

Bravecto chews, they last up to 5 months. It says good for 3, but it last longer. I used it for 11yrs on my Abby dog. Stressful dealing with them damn things. Bravecto works for ticks also.

Hi Dave , Do this , Go to Harbor Freight , They sell 2' x 2' Rubbery Squares that fit into each other ,easy to fit and cut ! Lay them down ! Nothing will slide around ! Then just get a rubber back Rug where you like to sit ! Washable , plus you will have the rubber under for extra comfort softness for your Butt ! You don't need wood or wall to wall carpet again ! Cost maybe $50 .oo !Best part is Fleas can't live in it ! Problem solved !

Maybe get Bella a new bowl. Something stainless steel so you can really get it clean when washed. Plastic food bowls are never really clean. Spraying with the bowl in the van can hurt Bella from chemical transfer. Sorry for the flea issue. I’m in Florida and feel your pain!

As I commented before the bombs are useless unless you buy them from a veterinarian. I batteled the fleas 20 years ago in my car and home and had to buy the good bombs from the vet. The cheap ones did not work. Good luck Dave. Flea powder helped also.

You’re going to have to treat the ground around the vehicle also. I’ve had that happen And I had to take my dog to the vet and get her treated with medication.

Yes. Soresto (sp) will work for Bella. With that on her you cannot put on any other flea treatment. No shampoo, no squirt on stuff. If you give her a bath, just use baby shampoo or dawn dish soap. Those Sorento collars don't mess around.
