I still CANNOT believe Arteta sold one of the best goalkeepers for only £23m especially cus Ramsdale only lasted a year in goal whilst Martinez is in his 2/3rd season proven PL top gk

Well Ramsdale signed a whole year later so wasn't a replacement for Martinez and he also lasted two seasons before Raya replaced him. Arsenal just didn't offer Martinez enough assurances that he'd be No1 up against Leno who in fairness was a pretty good keeper for us and a key player at the time. I agree though in hindsight we'd have been better off keeping him given how things have gone but context is everything. At the time he was our 2nd choice for many seasons and didn't have the reputation he does now.

Esa es la importancia de tener un arquero ataja penales, no importa cuan bien juegues, si al final no terminas metiendo los goles y el partido se va a tanda de penales, necesitas meter todas, pero si tu arquero no ataja nada, estás fuera. Lol nobody got rid of him. He won us the FA Cup and wanted to be first choice goalie but the club didn’t give him that guarantee. He’s our academy graduate so got nice profit off him that allowed us to get Ramsdale. He’s a great shot stopper and I (and most Arsenal fans) are proud of his achievements, notably winning the World Cup.

@@M4NA5Arsenal fan, but I'd take him over Ramsdale any day. I just dont understand the extreme obsession with small distributing keepers. I'd rather have a keeper that is also good at shot-stopping. Take Neuer for example, he's amazing at shot stopping and watching the two legs against Arsenal, he was still more than adequate on the ball, picking out his teammates left and right. I'd take that over Ramsdale or Raya any day.

@@ferfonte24 Desde que agarró el arco el Dibu Martínez Argentina arrancó el invicto hasta Arabia Saudita....es decir que nunca le fue mal a la selección y nunca se pidió a Armani sobre Martínez....Informate antes de quedar mal como recién. Al pulpo (campeón de todo) se lo pedía por encima del pelado Caballero que regaló el partido contra Croacia en 2018. Saludos.

@@ferfonte24cuando dibu entro a la selección simplemente pensé que cualquier arquero sería mejor que Armani. Antes que llegara él yo quería que fuese andrads, por su gran momento, Pero jamás pedí que lo saquen y pongan a Armani. Es más no sé que hace Armani en la selección

Y está perfecto, en su momento pediste a Andrada y lo reconocés, pero hay muchos hinchas, sobre todo de River que se hacen los distraidos con ese tema, cuando recién agarró Scaloni que pedían a gritos una Selección llena de jugadores de River y Boca y criticaban al DT por no llamarlos...

@@ferfonte24 si eso seguro. Yo al único que quería en la selección era a Julián Alvarez, y a andrada lo quería antes q llegar sel dibu. Pero cuando llegó scaloni se notó de entrada la mano del dt, fue el único que se animó a hacer un recambio verdadero, no entendía a los periodistas tirando mierda.
