2:49 Hiragana and Katakana are really easy to learn. I learnt them both in a few weeks. Learning to read some common Kanji is also very easy but writing them isn't something I can do.

@techpriestessmicaela8441 The trick behind is to look at it not as letters, but as pictures. That cross that has two extra diagonals? That's a tree! Oh the bottom of that tree-kanji is 'highlighted' with one extra line? That's the root then! A square with a plus inside? That looks exactly like a field! What's this? An Animal next to the field in the grass? That's a cat! Now they put two trees next to each other? Oh, it's a group of trees! Oh they put a third tree on top of it? Clearly they mean a forest! If you keep that in mind, many different looking Kanji become something you could more easily understand. Sure, there are some that don't quite fit with it, but those you can learn 😀

2:47, toki pona also did that. toki pona uses latin characters originally, then there were multiple writing systems developed specifically for toki pona, two of them were kept, "sitelen pona" and "sitelen sitelen" and all three are used by speakers, (but not on the same document like Japanese). toki pona is a conlang (constructed language) btw, it was invented and designed by a person - Sonja Lang - for a specific purpose; to be as simple and easy to learn as possible.

I think the max speed is 150. *I think I read that Pacific Surfliner gets to 90 at one point between LA and SD. We pronounce water as “wahder” on the east coast as well, not sure of anywhere in America that says “wahter.” In Pittsburgh, we do drop the T’s when there is an “nt” in the middle of a word. So Centre Avenue is pronounced “Senner Avenue” and winter is “winner.”
