You're an excellent, honest, and very ethical breeder, Rachel!❤ When you raise animals, there is going to be the good with the bad and it has nothing to do with goodness or being just, it just is, what it is. It's bound to happen, especially when you breed as many dogs as you do. The fact that you nip it in the bud and take it out of your line immediately is what makes you stand above the crowd. It's so hard not to become attached, which will probably always be a part of you, that's not a bad thing either, it is extremely hard on the heart, though. Much respect from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️

Gotta love the Preacher man. He is truly an amazing dog with such a good temperament…he’s confident yet doesn’t try to assert himself over other dogs or humans, he sticks up for other dogs and humans, he listens, he protects, he is good at the dog park, with strangers and kids, off-leash, good recall, checks on you and stays close when hiking, doesn’t fixate, non-predatory, can play and be vulnerable with other pack members, helps keep the order…He is such a beautiful lovely soul. He looks and acts like Bagheera from the jungle book, very caring. A lot of human men could take notes from him actually, that’s an alpha male if I’ve ever seen one.

I completely understand where you are coming from about the difficulties of breeding larger dogs. I breed XL bullies on the smaller side, my dogs will only ever get to 21" at the withers and 115 lbs at the heaviest, but hip and elbows always have to be watched and health tested.

Gotta love the preacher man .I have heard of the pocket bully and I can’t wait to see what you do and produce with this new breed.😊

I'm glad you refect and find the sources and move away from any choices towards sizing up that might add these issues now or in future. I thought zlaten was older than four months. Oh, and a video or two ago with Preacher he didn't seem bothered about birds at all and I was missing this kinda interaction. I guess he knows when there's that and when they are not birds that need told off. Sgittum, you never know! Love it.

This is the reason why I would never own a Mastiff. I prefer Shepherds working line only or working line German Shepherd Malinois mixes known as X herders or x Malinois. They keep an open stud book for the working Malinois so they can selectively outcross and breed back. This keeps the breeds extremely hearty, something that is a must for police and military dogs.

Preacher still on the job. He may join the other live stock dog in guarding the chickens 😊.

Love those Bullies but the Corso are just so majestic! I completely understand the emotional side of things because I am the same way! I love my animals they are my world and I become bonded with them very quickly! When I had to put my last Rottweiler down I made the decision that he would be my last dog but then I met the Boxer that needed to be rescued that bonded with me immediately upon meeting and no was in my brain but yes came out of my mouth and I quickly bonded with him within a hour or so after the yes came out of my mouth! You are doing so much for a breed that was mostly extinct and you do it with love and passion so you can not quit something that is so important and you are so good at doing! My prayers will be that God will give you the strength to continue and that He will guide you in all of your decisions always!🙏😄

Which version of a pocket bully do you have? I never heard of a pocket bully so I googled it and google said that's one of two versions one is a cross between a normal bully and a terrier and version two is just breeding 2 runt of the litter bullys

I'm going to be honest, I follow Cali catchers on Instagram and I love his account. A lot of the large Mastiff breeds have tons of health issues and what I'm seeing more of, not enough of though, our breeders that are purposely out crossing mastiffs with other breeds to enhance and health. They will cross various Mastiff breeds with other Mastiff breeds and then sometimes integrate breeds like the Greyhound and other breeds and then if they need more size again they will integrate Great Dane as long as they can find a good solid Dane with sound nerves. Basically they are performance bred mastiffs and doing out crossing really helps keep health and function in order.

So sorry to hear this, but just as the Cane Corso breed , you don’t give up. I get needing the other breed and that laidback feeling . That’s your calm. The Cane Corso has been very lucky to have you in their corner. I am still convinced that you are the best breeder I have come across in decades! I have no doubt that at some point you will have a Westminster Champion in the future. Love seeing the Preacher man , and your pocket fur babies are very cute. Sorry to hear young Zalotan.. You mentioned about there some not rich or poor or even privately own that "progmate or propaganding hip testing in everything" OFA or even Pin Hip(yes I agree hypoplasia is in all animals and all species of creatures that's the reality) As a rabbit 🐇 breeding I have no choice and I like to try to educate and insurance "even through there are no guarantees or reassurance" but to assure myself and other clients for those types of testing. We run a solid business and we are on KZfaq or whatever should learn and relearn fundamentals for "upholding standards" .. Cause I remember seeing dogs in the 90s in dog shows both in Europe UKc and Akc having dogs with terrible hips born that way or not with hypoplasia or trainers beating the dogs to get them walk a certain way in the rings or right before behind stage or on camera doing these heinous acts.. I know you've seen the video of those Louisiana couple beating that pitbull into submission and I'd be very upset if did my dog that way(I wouldn't have forgiveness for them at all) business or not..

My next door neighbour here in Canada breeds and shows Daschunds at Westminster and brings his dogs down to Georgia to get inseminated. He always tells me I would be too soft to be able to breed because I couldn’t make the hard decisions ( but my daughter and I do go to shows and help him )I fell in love with your Cane Corsos because here in Ontario with them being banned..I never get to see them and I fell in love with yours esp Zlatan ❤ He and Preacher are my faves and I’m so sorry Rachel. BTW-Waveland is just like her great grandpa and watching large birds. She goes on alert and won’t stop until it leaves. She’s 5 months old today, tall, sleek, smart and approximately 55lbs of pure Corso. So feisty and she loves being a shit starter!!

Is it bad that once you have a little harem of 3-month old boy puppies, I wanna see them with Battista? I know he's just going to ignore them and pee on things and then wander back over for pets but like a swarm of puppies under his feet

Thomas Kinkade painted art that he never reproduced because although we would think it's beautiful for him professionally it was no good, and as an artist you tend to spend more time and love on the things that don't turn out. It doesn't mean the love was wasted, your heart just grows bigger for the misfits.

Just curious if the bullies you are breeding will need to have c-sections or if they might be able to deliver naturally? I've just seen from other breeders that because of their head size and narrow bulldog types usually can't deliver naturally

If dogs are anything like fish breeding it feels like you can never have favorites! 🥲 The ones you are so proud of and excited to pair off and use in the program always end up being the ones that aren't kept, making the cut, or end up passing from the craziest of conditions. 😭 I'm sorry to hear he is so stunning too. What would be the path for him medically to help what's going on? Is it fixable/manageable?
